The UHPPOTE HBK-D01 is a Wiegand RFID Reader designed for access control systems. It cannot function as a standalone device and requires connection to a Wiegand protocol access controller, such as an access control panel, fingerprint device, or master controller. The reader utilizes an ST MCU to ensure stable performance and features a low-power circuit to extend its lifespan.
Function Description:
The HBK-D01 serves as an RFID card reader within an access control system. It reads RFID cards and transmits the card data to a connected access controller via the Wiegand protocol. The reader supports both Wiegand 26-bit and Wiegand 34-bit output formats, providing flexibility for integration with various access control systems. It is designed for security door systems, offering ease of connection and use. Its applications include factories, homes, residential quarters, offices, and mechanical and electrical control equipment. The device provides visual and auditory feedback for card reading, indicating authorized or unauthorized access.

- Installation:
- Remove the back cover from the reader.
- Drill 2 holes in the wall for self-tapping screws and 1 hole for the cable.
- Insert the supplied plastic anchors into the 2 holes.
- Fix the back cover firmly to the wall with 2 self-tapping screws.
- Pass the cable through the cable hole.
- Fix the reader to the back cover.
Maintenance Features:
- Power Supply Confirmation: Always confirm the voltage (12VDC) and differentiate between the positive anode and cathode of the power supply before connecting.
- Wiring Guidelines:
- The wire between the reader and the controller should be at least 22 AWG.
- The maximum length of the wire should not exceed 100 meters.
- When using external power, it is recommended to use the same power GND as the controller panel.
- It is advisable to use multi-strand twisted pair cable to connect the card reader to the access controller for optimal performance and to minimize interference.
- FCC Compliance: The device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any interference received. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. If interference occurs, users are advised to reorient or relocate the receiving antenna, increase the separation between the equipment and receiver, connect the equipment to a different circuit outlet, or consult a dealer/experienced radio/TV technician. For RF exposure compliance, the equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and the user's body, using only the supplied antenna.
