CREATING OFFSET HOLES

Creating Offset Holes
Figure 14
Figure 15
The Mark 2 PGS Parf Sticks have 3 sets of offset holes. These
are close to the holes marked as “0”, “5” and “10”. There are two
offset holes in each set, one marked “32” and the other marked
48” which represent offsets at 32 mm and 48 mm.
Fix a Parf Stick using a pair of 3 mm pins in the line where the offset hole or holes are to be created (Figure 14). Then drill the 3
mm holes in the normal way using the required offset positions (32 mm or 48 mm shown in red or blue respectively). This then
gives the 3 offset holes shown in red ( Figure 15).
In order to create the 3 mm set of offset holes first create
the array of 3 mm holes, at 96 mm centres, for the bench top
design as described above. Then decide where the offset holes
should go and whether a 32 mm or 48 mm offset is required.
