Overview

This document serves as the user manual for the Armor 15 uBuds Inside, providing comprehensive instructions for their operation, pairing, and maintenance. The earbuds are designed for seamless integration with mobile devices, offering a range of features for calls and music playback.

Function Description

The Armor 15 uBuds Inside are wireless earbuds primarily designed for audio playback and hands-free communication. They feature a multi-function touch key for various controls and an integrated microphone/indicator light for status feedback. The earbuds come with ear tips for a comfortable fit and charging ends for power replenishment.

Usage Features

Power Management:

The earbuds offer straightforward power management. To turn them on, simply pick up both earbuds from their charging case. A "Power ON" tone will confirm activation. For shutdown, place the earbuds back into the charging case, and a "Power Off" tone will indicate they are off. If left on but disconnected from Bluetooth with no operation, the earbuds will automatically shut down after approximately 3 minutes to conserve power. Additionally, a low power shutdown feature is implemented: if the earbud battery voltage drops below 3.2V, they will automatically shut down.

Charging:

Charging the earbuds is intuitive. Place them into the charging case, which is located on top of the Armor 15 device. During charging, a red light on the earbuds will remain on, and the status bar on the Armor 15 will display an earbuds battery icon and a charging prompt. Once fully charged, the indicator light will turn off, and the battery prompt will disappear. A "Low Battery" warning tone will sound every minute when the earbud battery voltage is below 3.55V, alerting the user to recharge.

Pairing and Connection:

The earbuds support both TWS (True Wireless Stereo) pairing and fast pairing.

  • TWS Pairing: When you pick up two earbuds from the charging case, they will flash between red and blue lights if not yet paired. The earbuds will then automatically pair with each other, accompanied by a "TWS Pair Successful" tone. Once TWS pairing is successful, the blue lights on both the left and right earbuds will flash quickly.
  • Fast Pairing: With Bluetooth enabled on your phone, taking out two earbuds from the charging case will trigger an automatic quick pairing prompt on your phone. Following the prompts will complete the pairing and connection, confirmed by a "Bluetooth Connection Is Successful" tone and the indicator light turning off. This quick pairing prompt appears only during the first connection or after clearing previous Bluetooth connection records. Subsequent connections will automatically reconnect without the prompt.
  • Common Pairing (Manual Connection): To connect manually, navigate to the Bluetooth menu in your phone's Settings, turn on Bluetooth, search for available devices, and select "uBuds Inside" to pair. A "Bluetooth Connection Is Successful" tone and the indicator light turning off will confirm the connection.
  • Automatic Reconnection: Once the earbuds are on and successfully TWS paired (indicated by a "TWS Pair Successful" tone and quickly flashing blue lights), they will enter reconnection mode within 5 seconds and attempt to reconnect to the last paired device. A "Bluetooth Connection Is Successful" tone and all indicator lights turning off will signal a successful reconnection.
  • Disconnect and Reconnect: If the earbuds move too far from the phone, they may disconnect. If they return to the working area within 3 minutes, the connection will be automatically recovered. If more than 3 minutes pass, manual reconnection will be required.

Bluetooth Disconnection:

  • Disconnection due to Distance: If the earbuds and mobile phone are too far apart, they will disconnect. If the earbuds cannot return to the working area within 3 minutes, the Bluetooth connection will be severed, and the earbuds will turn off.
  • Manual Disconnection: You can manually disconnect the earbuds by going to the Bluetooth menu in your phone's Settings, finding the paired device, and clicking "uBuds Inside" to disconnect or delete the device.

Single Ear Mode:

The earbuds support single ear mode. You can take out a single earbud from the case, and it will automatically reconnect to the latest paired device. If no paired device is found, you can manually pair it via Bluetooth.

Call Scene Functions:

When the earbuds are paired and connected to your mobile phone, an incoming call will trigger a ringtone reminder.

  • Answering Incoming Calls: Double-click the left or right earbud switch button to answer a call. This operation is the same in single ear mode.
  • Hanging Up the Phone: During a conversation, double-click the left or right earbud switch button to end the call. This also applies to single ear mode.
  • Rejecting a Call: To reject an incoming call, press and hold the left or right earbud switch button for 2 seconds, then release. This action is consistent in single ear mode.

Music/Standby Mode Functions:

  • Play/Pause: When the earbuds are paired and connected, select your desired APP playback software. Double-click the left or right earbud switch button to start playing music. Double-clicking again will pause the music playback. This functionality remains the same in single ear mode.
  • Cut Songs (Next/Previous): While music is playing and the earbuds are connected, triple-click the left or right earbud switch button to switch to the next song. Quadruple-click the left or right earbud switch button to switch to the previous song.
  • Voice Assistant: To activate the voice assistant (supporting Siri and Google Assistant), press and hold the left or right earbuds button for 5 seconds. A "Di" prompt tone will confirm activation. To turn off the voice assistant, press and hold the left or right earbud button for another 5 seconds, and a "Di" prompt tone will sound again.

Maintenance Features

Operation Exception Handling Method:

The manual provides solutions for common operational issues:

  • No Sound in One Earbud: If one earbud has no sound due to improper operation or prolonged signal shielding, try moving to an area where the signal can be received to restore normal function.
  • Failures from Unknown Causes: For failures with unknown causes, turn the earbuds off and then on again.
  • Disconnected Left and Right Earbuds: If the left and right earbuds become disconnected due to a single product change or misuse, re-pair them.
  • No Sound After Connecting to Phone: If there is no sound when listening to music after connecting the earbuds to your mobile phone, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone, find the name of the connected earbuds ("uBuds Inside"), and click the earbud name again when the connection is displayed.
  • No Sound During Bluetooth Call: If the two earbuds are paired and connected to the mobile phone, but there is no sound from the earbud after answering a call, you need to check the audio output of the mobile phone and select the Bluetooth pairing name ("uBuds Inside") corresponding to the earbud before proceeding with the Bluetooth call.
