REAR BRAKE PEDAL
KICK STARTER
SHIFT LEVER
The shift is used to select the next higher or lower
gear in the transmission. To operate, raise the shift
lever (after pulling in the clutch lever) to engage the
next higher, or press the shift lever down to engage
the next lower gear.
The rear brake pedal is used to slow down
or stop the vehicle. To learn some braking
techniques, refer to “Braking”.
The kick starter is used in case of battery failure
as a manual way to start the engine.
To operate kick starter, swing it out from the
stored position, and depress it with right foot
with a strong and steady motion through its
entire stroke. To have more details about starting
the engine, refer to “How to start and stop the
engine”. ( page 48 - 50)
