Are you ready to ride? Before riding, make sure
you and your Xtreet R are both ready to ride:
• Read and understand this manual
carefully.
• Take time to learn and practice. Start by
practicing in a safe area and slowly build
your skills.
• Use highly visible and reflective clothing
recommended for motorcycle riding.
• Don’t ride when you are in poor physical
or mental shape.
• Don’t drink and ride. Alcohol and riding
don’t mix. Even one drink can reduce your
ability to respond to changing conditions,
and your reaction time gets worse with
every additional drink.
READY TO RIDE?
Before each ride, it’s important to inspect
your motorcycle and make sure any problem
you find is corrected. A pre-ride inspection is
a must because road conditions can be very
harsh on your motorcycle, and a pre existing
problem can let you down on the road, away
from help.
Always perform a pre-ride inspection before
every ride and correct any problems. Improperly
maintaining this motorcycle or failing to correct
a problem before riding can cause a crash in
which you can be seriously hurt or killed.
