Overview

The Uniden BC15 is an external speaker designed to provide optimum audio performance for Uniden CB radios and scanners. It features a robust design and includes a one-year extended warranty.

Function Description:

The BC15 external speaker enhances the audio output from compatible Uniden CB radios and scanners. It connects to the device's EXT. SP jack via a 3.5 mm stereo plug. A key feature is its integrated noise filter, which helps to remove unwanted background noise from incoming transmissions. Users can activate the noise filter by pressing a button once, which remains down when active, and press it again to release it and turn the filter off. This functionality allows for clearer audio reception, especially in noisy environments.

  • Included in the package: Mounting Bracket with Hardware

Usage Features:

The BC15 speaker offers flexible installation options. It can stand on its own on stable surfaces or be mounted for stability using the included mounting bracket. To mount the speaker, the bracket serves as a template for marking drilling holes. After drilling, the bracket is screwed in, and the speaker is aligned with the adjustment knob holes in the bracket, then secured with the adjustment knobs.

Important Cautions for Usage:

  • Avoid mounting the speaker in direct sunlight or high-temperature areas to prevent damage and ensure longevity.
  • Do not run the cable across sharp metal edges or moving parts, which could cause damage to the cable or interfere with operation.
  • Ensure that air conditioning or heating vents are not blocked by the speaker, as this could impede proper ventilation and potentially lead to overheating.
  • Avoid placing the speaker in airbag deployment zones to ensure proper performance and prevent injury in case of an airbag deployment.

Maintenance Features (Warranty and Support):

Uniden provides a ONE-YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY for the BC15 external speaker. This warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship for one year from the date of original retail sale to the original owner.

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions:

The warranty becomes invalid if the product is:

  • Damaged or not maintained reasonably or necessarily.
  • Modified, altered, or used as part of any conversion kits, subassemblies, or configurations not sold by Uniden.
  • Improperly installed.
  • Serviced or repaired by someone other than an authorized Uniden service center for a covered defect or malfunction.
  • Used in conjunction with equipment or parts, or as part of any system not manufactured by Uniden.
  • Installed or programmed by anyone other than as detailed in the owner's manual.

Statement of Remedy:

If the product is found to be defective under warranty, Uniden will, at its option, either repair or replace the defective unit. This will be done without charge for parts, service, or any other costs (excluding shipping and handling) incurred by Uniden or its representatives. Uniden may replace the unit with a new or refurbished unit. This limited warranty is the sole and entire warranty for the product and excludes all other warranties, whether express, implied, or arising by operation of law, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The warranty does not cover or provide for the reimbursement or payment of incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to all users.

This warranty grants specific legal rights, and users may have other rights that vary from state to state. The warranty is void outside the United States of America.

Procedure for Obtaining Performance of Warranty:

If, after following the owner's manual instructions, the product is deemed defective, it should be carefully packed (preferably in its original packaging). The package must include all original parts and accessories, evidence of original purchase, and a note describing the defect. The product should be shipped freight prepaid, by traceable means, to:

Uniden America Corporation Parts and Service Division 4700 Amon Carter Blvd Fort Worth, TX 76155
