INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM continued
A) Away Mode
How to Activate:
Make sure the front door is closed.
Press "AWAY" button , the red light will illuminate.
Leave the apartment within 30 seconds.
How to Deactivate:
Upon your return, when you open the door, beeps from the unit will
remind you to enter your code within 30 seconds. (Press your 4-digit code and
the "ENTER" button and the red light will be turned "Off").
If someone breaks into your apartment and does not punch in the code within
30 seconds, a signal will be sent to the Concierge, and your unit will sound an
alarm signal.
B) Home Mode
Press "HOME" button and the red light will illuminate.
Should someone break in, the alarm will sound immediately (there is
no 30 second delay) and a signal is sent to the Concierge. (To turn off
the alarm, press your 4-digit code and the "ENTER" button).
C) Duress Emergency Mode
If you are ever forced at gun point to enter your apartment, the system
allows you to discreetly call for help.
When entering your code, add or subtract one digit from the last digit in
your code. For example, if your code is 1234, enter 1233 or 1235 and the
"ENTER" button. The Concierge will get a duress signal from your
apartment, while your unit will remain silent (as if it were deactivated).
NOTE: To prevent accidental alarms, you should set a security code, even if you
are not planning to use the alarm. This way you can deactivate it (red light
"Off") when it is accidentally turned on. (System default is 1234 and Enter)
