MAX Settings in the UAFX Control

suit your preferences.
You may need to scroll down on the Settings screen to see all available
settings.
Configuring footswitch modes
MAX can be set to one of four different footswitch modes, which each route
the compressors differently. These footswitch modes change how the
compressor signals are routed. MAX’s footswitch modes are described
below.
