Function Description
The Universal Blue UVPA1500-20 is a wall-mounted fan designed for domestic use. Its primary function is to provide air circulation and cooling within a room. Usage Features
The fan offers several usage features for enhanced convenience and comfort:
- Remote Control: The included remote control (model 10, uses 1 CR2025 battery) allows users to power the fan on/off, adjust speed, set the timer, and control oscillation.
- Speed Settings: There are three speed settings: Low, Medium, and High. Users can select the desired speed using the ON/SPEED button on the remote.
- Oscillation: The fan head can oscillate to cover a larger area, activated by the SWING button on the remote.
- Timer Function: The timer can be set for intervals between 0.5 and 7.5 hours. Pressing the TIMER button repeatedly adjusts the timer settings (0.5, 1, 2, and 4 hours). The fan will stop automatically once the set time elapses. For continuous operation, the timer should not be touched.
- Operating Modes: The fan has three working modes:
- Normal Mode: For daily use, operates at a constant fan speed.
- Natural Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying the air intensity within the selected speed.
- Night Mode: The fan runs at a low speed for half an hour, then goes to the next lowest position for another half an hour, and continues to run at its lowest speed until it is turned off.
- Installation: The fan is designed for wall mounting. The manual provides detailed instructions for assembly and installation, including marking drill points and securing the fan to the wall. It emphasizes selecting an adequate location where the fan will not cause obstruction.
- Safety Precautions: The manual highlights several important safety safeguards:
- Always read all instructions before using the appliance.
- The appliance is designed for domestic purposes only.
- Use the product with a power supply of the same voltage, frequency, and rating as indicated on the product label.
- Do not leave the fan running without supervision.
- If the product falls, is damaged, or shows signs of malfunction, do not use it.

- Do not immerse or expose the product or cable to rain, moisture, or any other liquid.

- Avoid contact with moving parts. Do not insert fingers or objects through the grill when the fan is running.
- Do not cover the grill or operate near curtains.
- Always unplug the fan when moving it from one place to another.
- The use of accessories not recommended or sold by the product's distributor may cause personal or material risks or injuries.
- Make sure that the fan is on a stable surface when operating to prevent fall.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person to avoid risks.
- Children should be supervised to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
- This device is not designed to be used by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should not play with this device. Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by children if they are not under supervision.
- The appliance is fitted with an overload cut-out which will operate if the motor overheats or is stalled. If this happens, disconnect from the mains supply immediately, and allow the motor to cool down.
Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the fan:
- Cleaning:
- Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply, unplug the cable, and allow the fan to completely stop.
- Use a 1" (25 mm) dry brush to remove dust from the grilles.
- Fan components should be cleaned with a drop of mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge. Do not allow any water or other liquid to enter the motor housing.
- Completely remove the soap with a cloth.
- If the appliance is not to be used for some time, place the fan in its original packaging and store it in a clean, dry place.
- If it is necessary to change the mains plug, proceed as follows:
- Connect the brown wire to the terminal labeled "L".
- Connect the blue wire to the terminal labeled "N".
- If the plug is equipped with a 13 A fuse, replace it with a 3 A fuse.
- Make sure that the cable handle is correctly positioned (above the outer sheath of the cable) and that it is fully tightened.
- Warning: Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners, or solvents as they may damage the surface of the fan components.
- General Maintenance:
- This appliance does not require a lot of maintenance. However, to prolong the life of the appliance, follow the cleaning notes.
- If the fan is not functioning correctly, contact a qualified electrician or the service center for examination and repair. Do not attempt to disassemble it yourself.
- Never submerge the product or cable in water, humidity, or any other liquid.
- After-Sales Service and Warranty:
- The product comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
- The guarantee is valid only on presentation of the product's purchase invoice.
- The warranty does not cover damages caused during transport, negligence or misuse, incorrect assembly or installation, external influences (atmospheric, electrical rays, flooding, humidity), or damage caused by improper installation, power connection (electricity, water, gas), drainage, and disposal not covered by the warranty.
- Aesthetic damage (scratches, chips, etc.) arising from use are not covered by the warranty.
- The warranty ends when repairs, alterations, or interventions have been made by anyone not authorized by Universal Blue.
- The warranty does not cover products not used for domestic use only.
- The warranty does not cover deficiencies resulting from improper use and periodic maintenance of the product as specified in the instruction manual.
- For induction and ceramic hobs, the product is loss of warranty in case it had been sealed with silicone or other product during its installation.
- Accessories or consumable components are not covered by the warranty.
- Rubber components are excluded from the warranty.
- The product is not covered by the warranty if it lacks the corresponding identification plate. The user must inform the technical service of the data included on the identification plate when required.

- Environmental Information:
- The appliance is labeled in compliance with European directive 2012/19/EU for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). This indicates that the appliance should not be disposed of with normal household waste at the end of its useful life.

- The packaging materials are recyclable. These materials can be deposited in public collection points for recycling.
