mature breakage of the carbon fibbers is prevented.
The use of assembly paste is essential for the mounting of the handlebars and the seat post.
Before applying the assembly paste, remove dirt and residues of lubricants from the surfaces of
the parts to be joined.
Next, with a brush or chamois, apply a thin and even layer of paste on the surfaces.
Once you have completed the component installation, remove the assembly paste excess.
Using a mounting bracket
To work comfortably, it is recommended to hold the bicycle firmly on a mounting bracket that
keeps the bike off the ground. Use a specific support for carbon frames, which grip the bicycle by
three interior points of the front triangle, without exerting pressure on the frame tubes of.
Do not fasten your bicycle with clamps that tighten around a carbon frame tube or seatpost, as
they could become damaged.
ASSEMBLY STEPS
STEP 1 | Remove the bicycle from the UNNO packing box
Open the UNNO packing box. Pay special attention to sharp edges and staples.
Once opened, remove the protection cardboards.
In the UNNO pack, you will find the frame with the rear wheel and most of the components already
assembled. You will also find non assembled components like the handlebar and the front wheel.
You will also find a cardboard box with other component’s manuals and small parts.
Remove the frame from the box along with its components and wheels, removing the packing and
the clamps that hold them, and carefully place everything on the floor.
Be specially careful when moving the handlebar as the cables and hoses can be damaged.
Keep the box and all the packing pieces in a dry place. In this way you will have everything avail-
able to ship your bicycle when needed.
The assembly from the content of the UNNO pack is not very difficult. However, you must pro-
ceed with care. The incorrect assembly can cause problems on the bicycle and invalidate the war-
ranty.
This guide is designed so that the assembly can be done by only one person, although some of
the tasks are carried out in a more comfortable way with the help of a second person.
The assembly of your UNNO bike needs some specific tools and knowledge. In case of doubting
about your mechanical skills, always head to a professional bike mechanic. It is highly recommend-
ed to take your bike to a UNNO authorised dealer.
TOOLS AND ASSEMBLY MATERIALS
To make the assembly you need some special tools such as:
Torque wrench with interchangeable tips
High pressure pump for the fork and rear shock absorber
Assembly paste
Use of a dynamometric key
When using the torque wrench, all bolts must be tightened according to the values specified in
the “Tightening torques” section of this manual. Applying a torque greater than the recommended
does not provide greater strength to the joint between parts, but instead, it can cause the part to
be damaged and become useless.
Applying a torque that is too strong or too loose can damage the bicycle and cause a falling.
It is very important that the bolts are screwed correctly. If you tighten them on an incorrectly
aligned part, you can damage its thread or the frame thread. Therefore, you should always start to
screw by hand and finish with the torque wrench.
Use of assembly paste
The assembly paste increases the adhesion between the surfaces of the assembled parts, allowing
to reduce the tightening torque required for their union. In this way crunches are avoided, and pre-
