In low light conditions, use a front light pilot, a tail light and clothing of bright or reflective clear
colours, which make you easily visible.
Use the brakes properly
For better braking performance, we recommend braking with the front and rear brake at the same
time. If you consider that your brakes are too powerful for your activity and weight, take the bike to
an authorized mechanic to adjust the feel of the levers and the braking power.
Keep in mind that excessive use of the front brake can cause the rear wheel to lose contact
with the ground and make you lose control.
Be careful when riding in rain or in a humid environment, and slow down. In these conditions
you must take extreme precautions and anticipate any unforeseen events. Rain reduces visibility.
If you ride with your hands on bar end grips, the brake levers are not reached as quickly as from
other grip positions and the braking distance increases. Maximize precautions.
Be cautious...
On traffic areas always do a defensive ride. Always be alert to dangerous situations with cars, pe-
destrians, motorcyclists or other cyclists, and be prepared to stop. Always keep a safe distance to
other vehicles, according to the braking capacity of your bicycle. It is preferable to always ride in
companion. Your partner can assist you immediately in the event of a mishap or breakdown. Do
not forget to take a puncture repair kit, or a tube, an air pump and a bicycle specific multi-purpose
tool. If you plan to travel many kilometres, bring an emergency kit and let a trusted person know
the route you are going to take.
... and use common sense
Do not circulate “without hands”. An imperfection in the road can cause a sudden turn of the front
wheel. Do not drive with objects hanging from the handlebar. These could go into the spokes and
cause a sudden turn of the handlebar. Do not drive under the effects of drugs or medication that
may cause drowsiness. Do not carry a second person on the bicycle.
the chain and sprockets. Avoid changing when riding on a steep slope. To achieve it, select the
correct gear just before starting an ascent or overcoming an obstacle.
Avoid changing gears while stomping hard on the pedals. It can happen that the chain gets
caught between the chain stay and the chainring (chain suck effect) and you may loss control of
the bicycle.
Modifications in the frame or the components
The modification of any part of the bicycle, including frame, fork and the rest of the components,
can make your bicycle stop being safe. Before purchasing a new component or accessory consult
our technicians.
The use of inappropriate components or a bad assembly of them can generate an unwanted
stress in the bicycle, which can make you lose control and fall. Never modify the frame assembly.
Do not carry out sanding, un-painting, drilling, filling holes or disassembling of retainers and bush-
ings.
Any modification made by a mechanic not authorized by UNNO, will void the warranty.

TIPS TO RIDE SAFELY
Always wear a helmet and the appropriate equipment
Wearing an approved helmet reduces the risk of severe damage to the head. It is also advisable
to wear protective glasses, sturdy shoes, gloves and appropriate clothing for the activity to be car-
ried out.
Use an adequate lighting system
When traveling on public roads, at night or in conditions of low natural light, adapt the bicycle
lighting system to the traffic regulations of your country.
