What to do if USAG 1951 B ram advances but doesn't hold pressure?
    • R
      Russell JacksonJul 27, 2025
If the USAG jack's ram advances but doesn't hold pressure, ensure the release valve is fully closed. Leaking ram seals, a malfunctioning pump check valve, or an improperly adjusted overload valve can also be the cause. For seal replacement, valve cleaning/replacement, or overload valve adjustment, contact your USAG distributor.

What to do if USAG Jacks ram does not advance?
    • T
      travishillAug 5, 2025
If the ram on your USAG jack does not advance, first ensure that the release valve is completely closed. Also, check the oil level in the reservoir and replenish if it is low. An air-locked system or a load exceeding the jack's capacity could also be the cause. If the oil is low, remove the oil plug, fill the jack with oil to the bottom of the oil fill hole, and bleed the system. If the system is air-locked, bleed air by opening the release valve and removing the oil plug while the jack is sitting on its base and the ram is retracted, then pump for 10 seconds. Finally, ensure you are using the correct equipment for the load.

Why USAG 1951 B ram will not retract, or retracts slowly?
    • J
      Jamie WallaceAug 9, 2025
If the ram on your USAG jack will not retract, or retracts slowly, make sure the release valve is open. If the reservoir is too full, drain oil to the correct level. If the ram is damaged internally, take the jack to an authorized service center for repair. Contact your USAG distributor.

How to fix erratic action in USAG 1951 B Jacks?
    • V
      Vanessa CallahanAug 14, 2025
If your USAG jack exhibits erratic action, it might be due to air in the system, oil viscosity being too high, the ram sticking, or internal leakage. To fix this: 1. Bleed air by opening the release valve and removing the oil plug while the jack is on its base and the ram is retracted, then pump for 10 seconds. 2. Change to a lower viscosity oil. 3. Inspect for dirt, gummy deposits, leaks, misalignment, worn parts, or defective packing. 4. Replace worn packings and check for excessive contamination or wear.

What to do if USAG 1951 B ram only extends partially?
    • T
      troybakerAug 18, 2025
If the ram on your USAG jack only extends partially, ensure the oil level in the reservoir is adequate by filling it to the fill line and bleed the system. Also, inspect the piston rod for any binding issues caused by dirt, gummy deposits, leaks, misalignment, worn parts, or defective packing.

Why does USAG 1951 B ram advances slowly?
    • G
      Geoffrey TaylorAug 22, 2025
If the ram on your USAG jack advances slowly, it could be due to the pump not working correctly or leaking seals. To address this, rework the pump or replace the seals. Contact your USAG distributor for seal replacement.
