  If your Vanguard Water Heater's on-off switch is powered but the unit isn't operating, first check the circuit breaker to ensure the heater is receiving power. Also, the manual reset hi-limit might have tripped; if so, manually reset it and determine the cause. If it trips again, call for service. Finally, if you're using an auxiliary power vent or E-Z Vent system, the vent fan interlock may not be working. In this case, turn on the fan and check the switch.
