8. This warranty does not cover accessories, in particular batteries,
chargers, charging cases or headsets. The warranty covers only
translation devices, including hand-held translators and earbud
translators.
9. The device may be equipped with an integrated SIM card. This warranty
does not include the SIM card.
10. The device uses third-party services (e.g. applications, software,
websites, databases). This warranty does not cover the quality and scope
of these services.
11. In the case of devices equipped with SIM cards, responsibility for proper
operation of the SIM card and GSM services within SIM equipped
devices rests entirely with the supplier of the factory SIM card.
The supplier of the integrated SIM card has agreements with the majority of
GSM operators worldwide. The device requires an Internet connection via
Wi-Fi or GSM. The manufacturer makes no guarantee that the device will
function in every location, nor any guarantee of free Wi-Fi access.
In the case of devices equipped with SIM cards, Vasco Electronics accepts no
responsibility for the proper functioning of SIM cards other than the integrated
SIM card, or for any additional costs imposed by operators other than those
imposed by the operator of the integrated SIM card.
SIM cards must not be used outside of the device. Removal of the SIM card
from the device may result in the person who removes the card being liable
for damages to Vasco Electronics and the SIM card supplier.
Violation of the terms of use for SIM cards, including in particular removing
the SIM card from the device, using the SIM card in third-party devices, using
data transmission via the SIM card for a purpose other than using the device
functions, or modifying devices in such a way that data transmission via the
SIM card is possible, will result in full liability for damages on the part of the
user. The above-mentioned liability also extends to any resulting lost profit or
unrealized profit.
Although the device uses cutting-edge technology for text translation and
speech recognition, the results produced by this functionality should be
treated as helpful information, not a precise translation. Translations may be
inaccurate. Vasco Electronics accepts no responsibility for damage caused by
imprecise or inaccurate translations.
