1. Mount the GPS antenna in the centre of your
vehicle’s roof, away from roof bars or radio
antennas which can cause interference.
Note: If there is no metal underneath the antenna,
create a metallic ‘ground plane’ to get a reliable signal.
2. Push the antenna plug into the GPS socket.
4. Securely attach the forward facing camera
(marked HIGH RES) to the windscreen of your
car using the suction mount. If required, place the
Picture-in-Picture camera (marked LOW RES)
so that it faces the driver.
Note: The Video VBOX takes about 35 seconds to
boot up, at which point the unit will beep to indicate it
is ready to use.
Use the ‘Top’ label on the camera to align. For
more precise alignment, use either the optional
preview monitor, or Video VBOX Setup software
preview function using a USB connected laptop
(see manual).
Note: Ensure the camera marked HIGH RES is
connected to the CAM1 socket, and the one marked
LOW RES is in the CAM2 socket.

3. Insert the PWR connector and screw the metal
ring to lock it in place.

Quick Start Guide Setup

GPS Antenna Mounting

Mount the GPS antenna centrally on the vehicle roof, away from interference, using a ground plane if necessary.

Connecting Antenna and Power

Connect the antenna plug to the GPS socket and the PWR connector, securing the metal ring to lock it in place.

Camera Installation and Alignment

Attach the HIGH RES camera to the windscreen and position the LOW RES camera if used, aligning with the 'Top' label.

Video VBOX Lite Operation

Microphone and SD Card Setup

Connect microphones via splitter or MIC socket. Ensure SD card is inserted; unit beeps and STATUS LED illuminates.

Acquiring Satellite Lock

Ensure antenna has clear sky view for satellite lock. A GPS 'cold start' can be initiated if needed.

Recording Modes and Safety

Default record mode is 'only when moving' above 2.5km/h. Never eject SD card when RECORD LED is active.
