you

formatted
your
last
diskette

You will need
to
learn
how
to
copy
the
operating system onto fioppy diskettes
only
it
you wish
to
be able
to
boot
off
that
particular
floppy.
A
transient
command
called
GENSYS.COM
(since
it
un,erates
a
w.tem)
does
this.
GENSYS
copies
the
Vector
4 CP/M operating system onto a formatted fioppy
diskette
and
can
also
be
used
for
putting
the
operating
system
onto
a
newly-formatted
hard disk. The
screen
wID
offer
options
at
each
step
of
the
program.
The
program
automatically determines
the
type
of
system used,
the
applicable
number of disk
driveBt and will prompt you for one of the two possible systems
to
generate.
If
you
have
a
hard
disk Vector 4 system
t
you should
not
need
to
generate
a
system on
it
because
it
has
been
configured
at
the
factory.
Only
if
you
format
the
hard
diSk
wID
it
be
necessary
to
run
GENSYS
on
it.
In
that
case,
see
Appendix B.
