B. Operation of the CRT
The CRT is a 12-inch diagonal CRT which uses P31 Phosphor. Its neck
contains one electron gun with three grids.
The following chart maps the path of the three major signals going to the Video
Board.

Development of high anode voltage (through use of fly-back
transformer.)
Development of Horizontal Deflection Signal (G2 grid).
Focusing of TTL Video Signal (G4 grid).
Development of Vertical Deflection Signal (Gl grid).
Processes video signal into signals necessary to display
information on the screen.
H. Linearity and other screen adjustments are controlled by a combination of the
three major signals (input to Video Board). These adjustments in turn send signals
to a combination of the three controlling grids which actually make the video
adjustments.
