Why my Vendo Sanden HFD000006 Food Warmer does not turn on?
    • D
      Daniel MorganAug 3, 2025
Your Vendo Food Warmer might not be turning on due to several reasons: the power cord could be unplugged or there's no power at the outlet, in which case you should plug the cord into the outlet and check the outlet voltage (115VAC). Alternatively, the HFD circuit breaker might be off, so turn it on; for HFD6 & 7 models, remove the lower rear cover to access the breaker. Another cause might be a disconnected internal power cord; check resistance across the plug (with the breaker on), ensuring it measures about 160 ohms between line and neutral. Lastly, for HFD6 & 7 models, if the front glass door is open, the controller will display “OPEn”; simply shut the door and press the power button on the controller.

What to do if the heater plate is not heating on my Vendo Sanden HFD000006?
    • A
      Amy WattsAug 9, 2025
If the heater plate on your Vendo Food Warmer isn't heating, and you're seeing a possible E70 to E75 error, here's what you can check: First, the fuse on the controller might be blown, so remove the controller and inspect the fuses. Second, wires could be disconnected; remove the controller and check all connections at the controller. Third, the heating element may have failed; check the resistance across the white and black wires from the heater – it should be about 94 ohms at room temperature (for HFDH and HFDHC units, see page 7); if the circuit is open, the heater needs replacing.

Why is my Vendo Sanden HFD000006 HFD display ambient not reaching 150°F?
    • L
      Lawrence PhillipsAug 16, 2025
If your Vendo Food Warmer HFD display ambient isn't reaching 150°F, it could be due to a couple of reasons: One or more heater plates might not be reaching temperature, and an error (E70 to E75) may be displayed on the controller. Remember that HFD, HFDC, and HFDM models need 30 minutes to reach temperature, while HFDH and HFDHC models need at least 1 hour; check the plate temperature at the controller. Alternatively, one or more Xenon lamps might not be functioning; check the terminal for a resistance of about 44 ohms, ensure the bulb is securely installed, and replace any blown bulbs.

What does E60 to E65 error mean on my Vendo Sanden HFD000006 Food Warmer?
    • A
      Adrian MichaelAug 27, 2025
If you're seeing an E60 to E65 error on your Vendo Food Warmer, it indicates a heater thermistor open circuit. To address this, pull out the controller and disconnect the corresponding heater connector. If the resistance between the red wires is greater than 100k ohms, investigate the cause of the open circuit. The heater may need to be replaced.
