The VENTS VK PS series comprises inline centrifugal fans designed for installation into ductwork, specifically for clothes dryers to boost exhaust air and enhance operating efficiency. These fans feature an integrated differential pressure switch that controls their on/off cycles, synchronizing them with the clothes dryer's operation.
The VK PS fans are compatible with 4" (100 mm), 5" (125 mm), and 6" (150 mm) diameter ducts. The model numbers indicate the compatible duct size:
The fans are equipped with a power cord and a plug for connection to a standard wall power socket, or a terminal box for direct power connection. They operate on 120 V AC, 60 Hz. The fan is designed for continuous operation and has a protection rating of IPX4, guarding against access to dangerous parts and water penetration. It can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from +32 °F to +149 °F and is suitable for both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The outlet end of the fan must always be connected to a duct. The direction of airflow must match the arrow indicated on the fan housing. For correct operation of the automation, the differential pressure switch should be installed vertically. It is recommended to install a lint trap between the clothes dryer and the fan to extend service life and reduce maintenance frequency. The lint trap should be cleaned as required.
Users must read and understand all instructions carefully to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. Dust and dirt should be removed from the unit surface every 6 months. Before any maintenance, disconnect the unit from the main power supply. Clean the fan with a soft cloth and a brush using a water-diluted neutral detergent. Protect the electrical parts from water ingress. After cleaning, wipe the product's surface dry.
VENTS US warrants to the original purchaser of the VK PS series fan that it will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of original purchase. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at VENTS US's option, of any product or part found defective under normal use and service.
VENTS US is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from product use or performance. The warranty supersedes all prior warranties. If proof of sales date is unavailable, the warranty period is calculated from the production date.
