They shall be written in the official language(s) of the country in which the tool is sold.
They shall be legible and contrast with the background.

responsible for placing the tool on the market.
The General Power Tool Safety Warnings and the specific tool Safety Warnings, if in
English, shall be verbatim and in any other official language to be equivalent.
Format of all Safety Warnings must differentiate, by font highlighting or similar means, the
context of clauses as illustrated below.
General Safety Rules
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and
