Overview

This document is the owner's manual for a VEVOR Pivoting Utility Fan (Air Dryer), model AD110003.

Function Description

The VEVOR Pivoting Utility Fan is designed to quickly dry damp surfaces by producing a high-volume, flat air column that increases evaporation. It is intended for general ventilating use and should not be used to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors. The fan is suitable for indoor use only and is not designed to ventilate harmful gases or vapors. It can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Brand: Vevor
  • Model: AD110003
  • Voltage: 115V~/60Hz
  • Power: 124W
  • Product Size: 390 x 335 x 350mm
  • Product Weight: 4.5kg
  • Breaker: 10-amp (safety feature)
  • Power Cord: Three-prong, grounded, requires 14 AWG or higher gauge extension cord if used.

Usage Features

The fan offers several features for ease of use and versatility:

  • Pivoting Design: The blower fan's vertical angle can be adjusted by moving the body forward or backward to achieve the desired setting. A clicking sound during adjustment is normal.
  • Variable Speed Control: A knob on the side of the blower fan allows users to select the desired operating speed.
  • Integrated Outlets: The fan includes outlets, and a 10-amp breaker is provided as a safety feature. If a connected tool or accessory draws more amperage than allowed, the breaker will trip. It can be reset by unplugging the offending appliance or accessory and pushing the reset button, which is adjacent to the fan's outlets.
  • Grounding: The fan must be plugged into a properly grounded three-pronged 120V AC receptacle. For electric shock risk reduction, it should only be connected to an outlet provided with a ground fault interrupting device (GFCI).
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before assembly, starting, or servicing.
    • Never modify the product or any part of it.
    • Do not move the blower fan while it is operating.
    • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all body parts away from the air inlet (rear) and air outlet (front).
    • Never block the air inlet or outlet while in operation.
    • Never insert any objects through the blower fan guards.
    • Ensure no unsecured materials can be blown about by the air stream before operation.
    • Do not expose to water or rain.
    • Do not use in a window.
    • Never leave the blower fan unattended while operating or connected to a power source.
    • Do not operate near dangerous areas such as fire, gas, fumes, or hazardous materials.
    • Do not use with any solid-state speed control device.
    • The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device (e.g., a timer) or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility, to avoid hazards from inadvertent thermal cut-out resetting.
    • Disconnect from the power source before servicing, as it is an automatically operated device.
    • Keep out of reach of children; this is not a toy.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the fan:

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning or servicing, always unplug the blower fan. Clean the fan using a soft, moistened cloth with a mild soap solution. Never immerse any electrical parts partially or fully in water. Avoid using gasoline, benzene, thinner, harsh cleaners, or similar cleaning agents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the blower fan in a clean, dry area.
  • Lubrication: The motor is permanently lubricated, meaning no additional lubrication is required by the user.
  • Damage and Repair:
    • Do not operate any blower fan with a damaged cord or plug.
    • If the blower fan malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner, discard it or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
    • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
    • Do not open the blower fan shell; there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
    • Never pull or carry the blower fan by the power cord.

Warranty Information

The unit is covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship for a term of one year from the original date of purchase, under normal use. The warranty does not cover misuse, including but not limited to, units that have been dropped, subjected to water damage, tampered with, used with improper voltage, or undergone unauthorized maintenance and repairs. The power cord is specifically not covered by the warranty.
