Usage Features

Control Panel: The control panel includes:

  • On/Off button and indicator
  • Half load wash button and indicator
  • Delay wash start button and delay hour indicators (3, 6, or 9 hours)
  • PROGRAM button and program indicators for various wash cycles (Intensive, Heavy, ECO, 90' min, Rapid)
  • Child lock button and indicator
  • Rinse aid refill warning indicator
  • End wash indicator
  • Water faucet indicator
  • Start/Pause button

Wash Programs: The dishwasher offers several wash programs to suit different loading and soil requirements:

  • Intensive: For the heaviest soiled crockery, pots, pans, dishes, etc., with dried-on soiling. Includes pre-wash (50°C), wash (60°C), multiple rinses, and drying.
  • Heavy: For heavily-soiled loads like pots, plates, glasses, and lightly-soiled pans. Includes pre-wash (45°C), wash (55°C), multiple rinses, and drying.
  • *ECO (AS/NZS 2007.1): Standard program for normally-soiled loads such as pots, plates, glasses, and lightly-soiled pans. Includes pre-wash, wash (45°C), multiple rinses (50°C), and drying. This program complies with AS/NZS 2007.1, with a rinse aid setting of 6 and the door opened 50mm at the end of the drying cycle for performance testing.
  • 90' min: For lightly-soiled crockery and glass. Includes wash (65°C), multiple rinses (65°C), and drying.
  • Rapid: A shorter wash for lightly-soiled loads that do not need drying. Includes wash (40°C) and multiple rinses (45°C).

Loading the Dishwasher:

  • Remove lipstick stains and food residues.
  • Dishes and cutlery should not overlap.
  • Load items to allow water access to all surfaces and ensure they are securely positioned.
  • Hollow items (cups, glasses, pans) should be placed upside down.
  • Wide-based items should be placed at an angle for proper drainage.
  • Spray arms must not be blocked.
  • Small items should not fall through basket holders.
  • Knives and sharp utensils should be loaded with points downwards or horizontally.

Basket Features:

  • Upper Basket: Used for small and lightweight items (cups, saucers, glasses, dessert bowls). Can be adjusted in height by placing wheels on different rail heights to accommodate larger utensils. Features a hinged cup rack that can be raised for taller items.
  • Lower Basket: For large and difficult-to-clean items (plates, serving platters, saucepans, serving bowls, pots, pans, lids). Serving dishes and lids should be placed at the side to avoid blocking spray arm rotation. Features hinged spikes that can be lowered to make room for large items.
  • Cutlery Basket: Designed with covers and slots for optimum placement of cutlery (soup spoons, forks, knives, teaspoons, dessert spoons) to improve washing results and ease of unloading. Handles of sharp utensils should face upwards.

Detergent and Rinse Aid:

  • Only use detergents specifically designed for dishwashers.
  • Detergent powder or tablets are added to the detergent dispenser. Pre-wash detergent is added to a separate chamber for programs requiring it.
  • Rinse aid helps ensure streak-free drying and faster drying. It is added to a dedicated reservoir. The rinse aid indicator illuminates when refilling is needed. The rinse aid dispenser has six adjustable settings, with "4" being the recommended and factory setting. Adjust to a higher number if dishes are spotted, or lower if there is residue.

Operation:

  • Starting a Wash Cycle: Connect to power and water, load dishes, add detergent, close the door, press On/Off, select program, and press Start/Pause.
  • Changing a Program: Pause the cycle, check if detergent has been dispensed. If not, cancel the program by holding the PROGRAM button for 3 seconds, then select a new program and restart. If detergent has been dispensed, allow the current cycle to complete.
  • Delay Wash Start: Load dishes, turn on, select program, set delay time (3, 6, or 9 hours), and press Start/Pause.
  • Half Load Wash: Load dishes in the lower basket, turn on, select program, press the 1/2 button, and press Start/Pause. This option saves water and electricity.
  • Child Lock: Press the child lock button to activate/deactivate. It locks control buttons but not the On/Off button.
  • End of Program: The dishwasher beeps and the end wash indicator lights up. Switch off the unit using the On/Off button to save energy.
  • Unloading: Allow dishes to cool before unloading to prevent breakage. Unload the lower basket first, then cutlery, then the upper basket.

Maintenance Features

External Care:

  • Door and Door Seal: Clean regularly with a soft damp cloth to remove food deposits. Wipe off any residues on the sides of the door.
  • Control Panel: Wipe with a soft damp cloth ONLY. Avoid spray cleaners to prevent water penetration into electrical components. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Internal Care:

  • Filtering System: The filtering system (coarse filter, fine filter, filter cylinder) in the base of the wash cabinet retains debris. Check and clean filters regularly under running water. To clean, turn the coarse filter anti-clockwise, gently lift out the fine filter, rinse all filters, then refit in reverse order, ensuring the coarse filter clicks into place. Do not overtighten.
  • Spray Arms: Food particles can clog spray arm jets and bearings. Check and clean regularly. Remove the lower spray arm by pulling it upwards, and the upper spray arm by unscrewing the nut. Ensure the nut is tightened when refitting the upper spray arm.

Frost Precaution: If the dishwasher is in an unheated area below 0°C:

  1. Disconnect from water inlet.
  2. Turn on, select any wash cycle, and run for 1 minute to drain excessive water.
  3. Disconnect from mains socket.
  4. Empty the dishwasher.
  5. Close the door.
  6. Disconnect from the water drain, using a receptacle for residual water.

Moving the Dishwasher:

  1. Disconnect from mains.
  2. Disconnect from water inlet and drain, catching residual water.
  3. Remove from current location with hoses discharged.
  4. Pull the unit out with hoses.
  • Avoid over-tilting; keep upright or position on its back if necessary.
  • Two people are recommended for handling during installation.

Maintenance After a Prolonged Period of Non-Operation:

  1. Disconnect from mains.
  2. Disconnect from water inlet and drain, catching residual water.
  3. Slightly open the door to prevent unpleasant smells.
  4. Ensure the washing compartment is clean.
