Overview

This document is a Quick Start Guide for the Vibe Air hearing aids, providing essential information for users to get familiar with their new device.

The Vibe Air hearing aids are intended to improve the hearing of individuals with hearing impairment. Diagnosis and prescription of these hearing aids must be carried out by qualified hearing health specialists, such as acousticians, audiologists, or ENT doctors.

Intended Use and Warnings

The guide emphasizes that users should consult a licensed physician if they have any doubts about the device's suitability for them. It also lists contraindications for using the product, which include:

  • A visible deformity of the ear.
  • A history of active discharge from the ear within the previous 90 days.
  • A history of sudden or rapidly progressive hearing loss within the previous 90 days.
  • Acute or chronic dizziness.
  • Sudden onset of hearing loss in one ear within the previous 90 days.
  • Visible evidence of significant ear wax accumulation or a foreign body in the ear canal.
  • Pain or discomfort in the ear.

What's in the Box

The package includes:

  • Hearing aids (one marked 'R' for right, one marked 'L' for left).
  • Click Sleeves (various sizes).
  • A charging case.
  • Batteries (size 10, 6-pack).

Getting to Know Your Hearing Aids

Each Vibe Air hearing aid has several key components:

  1. Ear piece (Click Sleeve): The part that fits into the ear canal.
  2. Microphone: Captures sound from the environment.
  3. Battery door (on/off switch): Houses the battery and serves as the power control.
  4. Removal cord: Used to easily remove the hearing aid from the ear.
  5. Side indicator: Helps identify whether the hearing aid is for the left or right ear.

Battery Insertion and Power On/Off

To insert the battery:

  1. Remove a battery from its packaging and peel off the protection tab.
  2. Insert the battery with the "+" symbol facing upwards.
  3. Gently close the battery door. If resistance is felt, the battery may not be inserted correctly.

To power on the hearing aid, simply close the battery door. A start-up jingle will indicate that the device is on. To power off, fully open the battery door.

Inserting the Hearing Aids

Before insertion, ensure the hearing aids are held with the arrows pointing upwards and the removal cord at the bottom. Carefully push the hearing aid into the ear canal. The right hearing aid is marked with 'R', and the left with 'L'.

Removing the Hearing Aids

To remove the hearing aids, pull the removal cord towards the back of your head.

Changing Click Sleeves

The hearing aids come with pre-installed Click Sleeves. If the current size is uncomfortable, users can change them. It's important to note that left and right ear sizes may differ.

  • If the hearing aid feels too tight or presses on the ear, a smaller Click Sleeve size is recommended.
  • If the hearing aid feels loose or causes whistling noise, a larger Click Sleeve size is recommended.

To remove a Click Sleeve, grab and pull it off. To install a new one, ensure the flap of the Click Sleeve matches the printed line on the hearing aid. A click will be heard when the Click Sleeve is fully installed.
