If you choose to use a drop box extension to vent out through your standard wall cap, ensure your
exhaust vent is attached from the top opening, and use an elbow joint duct.

NOTE: Do NOT exhaust through the side opening to vent in a drop box extension by using dual elbow

a. Avoid the use of sharp elbows. Use 45 degrees instead, if possible.
b. DO NOT use REDUCERS. Keep the size of the duct the same, as per the manual. A reducer
will reduce the CFM of the hood and increase the noise.
