Usage Features
The awning is operated primarily via a remote control.
- Remote Control Buttons:
- "Up": Retracts/closes the awning.
- "Stop": Stops the opening/closing process.
- "Down": Extends/opens the awning.
- Overheating Protection: The motor has an automatic overheating protection that activates if the product is operated more than two rounds consecutively. If this occurs, the remote control will not function, and users must wait approximately half an hour before attempting further operation.
- Limit Adjustment: Users can adjust and set the extension and retraction limits of the awning. This involves using a 4mm hex key to adjust the limit screws on the motor. Turning the screw in the "+" direction increases the limit, while turning it in the "-" direction decreases it. After adjustment, the awning should be operated with the remote control to verify the settings.
- Wind Speed Precaution: The external blind must be retracted if the wind speed exceeds 28 km/h to prevent damage.
- Frosty Conditions: Operation in frosty conditions may damage the awning.
- Installation Location Restrictions:
- Do not install in high and windy places, as the sunshade may drop and cause injury.
- Avoid places with vibrations or impulsions.
- Do not install near high-temperature sources like walls near furnaces.
- Do not place heavy objects on the frame, as they may fall and cause damage.
- Safety during Installation: Users are advised to be careful with their fingers during installation and to ensure all screws and nuts are correctly tightened, as loose fasteners can be dangerous.
Maintenance Features
- Regular Cleaning: Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
- Seasonal Checks: The overall installation and all fasteners should be checked regularly, especially at the beginning of a new season, to ensure they are tight and in good condition.
- Windy/Rainy Days: Always close the awning on windy days, during heavy rain, and when not in use.
- Damage Inspection: Frequently examine the installation for imbalance and signs of wear or damage to cables and springs. Do not use the awning if repair or adjustment is necessary.
- Disconnection for Maintenance: Disconnect the awning from the power supply when maintenance, such as window cleaning, is being carried out in the vicinity.
- Battery Replacement: The remote control batteries (12V) should be replaced when needed. This involves opening the battery cover, removing the old battery, inserting a new one with correct polarity, and closing the cover.
- Professional Repair: Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist or a professional and experienced technician. Users should never attempt to repair the product themselves.
- Modification Restriction: Do not modify the product without consulting the manufacturer or their authorized representative.
- Disposal: The appliance and its batteries should not be disposed of as general municipal waste. They must be collected separately and disposed of according to local environmental protection laws and regulations for hazardous waste. Consult local authorities or the retailer for recycling advice.
