  If the Viessmann Burner starts but the flame doesn't build, ensure the ignition electrode is correctly adjusted and clean. If the ignition electrode is damp, contaminated, or the ignition transformer is cracked, replace them. Also, replace any faulty ignition cable that's shorting to earth. Finally, ensure sufficient combustible gas is available by venting the gas supply line, testing gas availability, checking the electrical connection to the gas combination valve (230 V), and replacing the valve if necessary. Also, adjust the start gas volume.

Try cleaning or replacing the gas filter, checking the gas pressure switch settings, and verifying the gas supply pressure. The ionisation current may also be too low, so measure it and replace the ionisation or earth electrode if needed. Check the earth connection for faults, clean the mixer assembly if it's contaminated or correct the switch cam adjustment at the air damper motor if the air damper is incorrectly positioned.
