MEMORYDEVICE,DONOTPRESSANYBUTTONONTHEVMP75,DONOTPRESS
ANYBUTTONONTHEVMP75REMOTECONTROL,andDONOTPOWEROFFTHE
VMP75.
1. ClickontheVMP75firmwarefiletodownloadat
http://www.viewsonic.com/support/downloads/drivers/?prod_name=vmp75
2. OntheFileDownloadMenu–“Doyouwanttoopenorsavethisfile?”,selectthe
“Save”option.
3. OntheSaveAsMenu,clickonthe“Savein:”drop‐downmenulistandselect
“Desktop”asyourdestinationfolder.
4. AftertheInternetdownloadiscompleted,clickon“Close”ontheDownload
CompleteMenuandclickonthe“X”onthemenubarontheupper‐rightcornerto
exittheInternetbrowser.
5. InsertaremovableUSBmemorydeviceontoanyavailableUSBportonyour
computer.
6. DoubleclickontheVMP75firmwarefilethatyouhaddownloadedontheDesktop
andextractboththe“upgrade.bin”and“Checksum.txt”filesontoyourremovable
USBmemorydevice.
7. Afterbothfileshasbeenextractedsuccessfully,clickonthe“SavelyRemove
Hardware”Icon(greenarrow)onthetaskbar,thelower‐rightcorner,andselect
“SafelyremoveUSBMassStorageDevice”.
8. RemoveyourUSBmemorydevicefromthecomputerafterthe“TheUSBMass
StorageDevicecannowbesafelyremovedfromthesystem”messageappeared.
9. InsertyourUSBmemorydeviceontotheVMP75USBportandpowerontheVMP75
ifithasnotalreadybeenon.
10. Pressthe“SETUP”buttonontheVMP75remotecontroltoaccesstheSetupMain
Menu.
11. Scrolldown,hilight“Version”,andpress“OK”ontheVMP75remotecontrolto
selecttheVersionMenu.
12. Select“FirmwareUpgrade”ontheVersionMenu.
13. Select“USBUpgrade”ontheFirmwareUpgradeMenu.
14. WhentheFirmwareUpgradeWizardfoundthefirmwarefileandasks“Doyouwant
toupgradenow?”,presstheleft‐arrowbuttonontheVMP75remotetohilight“Yes”
(blue)andpress“OK”toconfirm.
15. RemoveyourUSBmemorydevicefromtheVMP75aftertheVMP75hassuccessfuly
downloadedthefirmwareandrebootitself.
