Levels 5 and 6 should not
be selected with new blades
as this could damage the
grass roots during
scarifying.
The working depth is
dependent on blade wear
and the ground.
The lawn scarifier is pressed
against the surface of the
lawn through the rotation of
the blades and through its
own weight: On soft lawns,
the lawn scarifier cuts
deeper into the ground than
on a compact surface.
NOTE
6 different working depths can
be set.
Level 1: Shallowest working
depth
Level 6: Deepest working
depth
The adjustment range is
25 mm.
Step :
• Move scarifying unit lever
(L) into position.
(Transport position
“Raising the scarifying
unit”)
Step :
• Set the required working
depth via the working depth
rotary handle (K).
Always begin the scarifying
procedure at the shallowest
working depth (level 1). If the
scarifying result is insufficient,
increase the working depth in
steps.
Blade wear can be
compensated by selecting a
deeper working depth.

Loosen the rotary handles (3)
until they can be moved easily
backwards and forwards in the
machined grooves.
Fold down the upper
handlebar and rest it on the
appliance.
Folding down the handlebar:
Fold down the handlebar for
cleaning the mower, for space-
saving transport and for
storage of the appliance:
The machined grooves in
the threads of the flat head
bolts prevent the rotary
handles from becoming
completely detached from
the bolts (safeguard against
loss).
NOTE
Risk of injury!
The motor must be switched
off and the mains plug
disconnected before folding
down the handlebar. No
loads must be placed on the
upper handlebar (e.g. power
cable or extension cable
wrapped round the
handlebar).
Danger of pinching!
The handlebar can be folded
down by releasing the rotary
knobs. For this reason,
always hold the upper
handlebar (A) with one hand
at its highest point when you
unscrew the rotary knobs.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock!
The upper handlebar is
covered with a coating of
insulation which may be
damaged when attaching
the cable clip.
Only press on the cable
clips by hand.
Do not use any tools for
assembly such as
screwdrivers or hammers.
WARNING
• Push flat head bolts (2) with
cable guide through bores
from the inside towards the
outside and fasten securely
using rotary handles (3).
• Attach cable (5) at right anti-
kink protection as illustrated.
• Attach cable (6) at left anti-
kink protection as illustrated.
• Secure the electric cable to
the lower handlebar and
upper handlebar using two
cable clips (4) as illustrated.
Ensure a distance of
25 - 27 cm between the
cable clip and switch on the
upper handlebar.
