Safety regulations must be observed when working with the machine.
Petrol is poisonous and extremely inflammable. Handle with care.
Always wear sturdy footwear with high-grip soles. Never work barefoot or in sandals.
Always wear gloves to prevent injuries from sharp-edged and hot components.
Ensure only persons familiar with the manual operate the machine. Check fuel system for leaks.
Never work when animals or persons are in the danger area. Observe safety distance.

Insert sleeve (I) in the bore on handlebar (1).
Fit protective sleeves (H) onto the two lower handlebars (1).
Fit the upper part of the grass catcher box (B) onto the lower part of the grass catcher box (C).
Detach the spark plug socket from the engine.
Avoid damage to the machine! Top up engine oil before starting for the first time.
When actuating the detent lever, always hold the upper handlebar with one hand.
The upper handlebar can be folded down by releasing the quick-release caps.
Open the discharge flap (1) and hold it open.
Six different cutting heights can be set. Level 1 = 25 mm, Level 6 = 75 mm.
The upper part of the grass catcher box features a level indicator (1).
The lawn mower is equipped with safety devices, which prevent inadvertent contact with the mowing blade.
The engine stops when the motorstop lever is released during running operation.
For safety reasons, the operator must stay within the working area behind the handlebar.
Do not start the engine in tall grass. Select a higher cutting height setting if the engine is difficult to start.
To stop the engine, release the motorstop lever (1).
One forward drive speed (single-speed gearbox).
For safety reasons, the engine must be stopped before removing the grass catcher box.

Blades are subjected to differing degrees of wear depending on location and duration of use.
Use a suitable wooden block (1) to counterhold mowing blade (2).
VIKING recommends having the mowing blade sharpened by a technician.
Store the machine in a dry, locked, dust-free place. Ensure it is out of children's reach.
Observe the section "For your safety" before transporting. Wear suitable safety clothing.
Some parts of the VIKING machine are subject to normal wear and must be replaced in due time.
The VIKING machine must be used, maintained and stored with care as described in this manual.
