This manual represents an indispensable guide for the correct and safe use of the
Vileda STEAM. Therefore, you should read all the instructions before using the prod-
uct for the first time because it contains information necessary to ensure that the
product can be used in compliance with safety standards and environmental pro-
tection for the entire period of product usage. Retain this document for future refer-
ence. Instructions also available on: www.vileda.com.
This appliance is intended for indoor private household use only.

IGNORING THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAN CAUSE DANGER TO HEALTH
AND SAFETY AS IT MAY CAUSE FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND SERIOUS INJURY.
HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNINGS
• Never immerse unit in water or other liquid, especially whilst plugged into the sock-
et. • Do not direct hot liquid or steam at people, animals, electrical appliances or
electrical outlets. The liquid or steam must not be directed towards equipment con-
taining electrical components, such as the interior of ovens. • Do not store outside
your house e.g. balcony and do not expose to sunlight or rain. • The appliance shall
not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains. • Do not leave the
appliance connected to an electrical plug when not in use. • Never pull the cable to
disconnect the appliance from the socket. Keep the appliance lead away from heat,
oil and sharp edges. • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands, especially when
plugged into the electrical socket. • Never touch the mains plug and the socket with
wet hands. • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord,
pull cord around sharp corners or expose cord to heated surfaces. • Do not use
appliance in an enclosed space filled with vapour given off by oil-based paint thin-
ner, some moth-proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic
vapours. Caution! Do not use on unsealed wood or unsealed laminate floors. On
surfaces that have been treated with varnish, wax or even some un-waxed floors,
the sheen may be removed by the heat. It is always recommended to test an iso-
lated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. Do not leave the run-
ning product standing still on the floor, always keep it moving. Never leave the prod-
uct with a hot and / or wet pad in direct contact with the floor after use. We also rec-
ommend that you check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.
Danger! Never put aromatic, alcoholic or detergent products into the water tank,
as this may damage the appliance or make it unsafe for use. The appliance emits
very hot steam. This means that the cleaning pad area gets very hot during use. •
Caution! Always wear suitable shoes when using the appliance and when changing
the accessories on your Vileda STEAM. Do not wear slippers or open toed footwear.
Do not open the water tank cap when the appliance is plugged into the electrical
socket or immediately after the product has heated up. • Open the tank only when
the product is standing upright and stable. Close the water tank cap carefully af-
ter filling or re-filling with water by turning it 90 degrees clockwise to the lock posi-
tion. • For floor use only; do not use the unit upside down. This appliance is intend-
ed for indoor household use only. • Do not use in swimming pools containing water.
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning it. • When not in use, the
appliance should be stored in a dry place, in an upright position. • Children should
not have access to stored appliances. • Unplug the appliance and allow to cool be-
fore performing any maintenance. The appliance has to be unplugged after use and
before carrying out user maintenance on the appliance. • The appliance may not be
used in areas where a risk of explosion is present. • The device should not be used to
clean electrical appliances such as oven, exhaust, micro-wave, televisions, hair-dry-
er, electrical heating systems, etc. • Never touch the steam jet with hands. • Never
try to open the product e.g. by opening the screws.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory or attach-
ment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those rec-
ommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury. This ap-
pliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach
of children when it is energized or cooling down. • Additional residual risks may arise
when using the appliance which may not be included in the enclosed safety warn-
ings. These risks can arise from misuse, prolonged use etc.
Use only with the manufacturers recommended attachments.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The appliance must only be connected to an electrical supply which has been in-
stalled in accordance with IEC 60364. The appliance must only be connected to al-
ternating current. The voltage must correspond with the type plate on the appliance.
• The appliance must only be used with the power cord provided with the appliance.
• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. • Before use,
regularly check the power cord for signs of damage or ageing. If the supply cord
is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. • The appliance is not to be used if it has
been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. • Do not abuse
the power cord. Never carry the appliance by the cord. • Keep the power cord away
from hot surfaces and sharp edges. • Unplug the power cord from the socket be-
fore storing the appliance. • Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other
than those specified in this manual. • In an emergency situation contact profession-
al help immediately! If the home security circuit breaker activates whilst using the
appliance, discontinue product immediately and contact the customer support cen-
tre (beware of the risk of electrical shock).
SERVICE
• Do not use the appliance if any part of the power cord or plug is damaged or de-
fective. • Repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a suitably qualified per-
son in accordance with relevant safety regulations. Repairs by unqualified persons
could be dangerous. • Never modify the appliance in any way as this may increase
the risk of personal injury.
SAFETY DEVICES
Safety devices protect the user and must not be modified or bypassed.
Safety thermostat
The safety thermostat turns off the appliance if the boiler thermostat fails and the ap-
pliance overheats in case of a malfunction. Please contact your local Vileda Custom-
er Service in case of any problem.
ASSEM BLY AND PAD RE MOVAL
• Before at tempting any o f the follow ing operati ons, make sure t hat the appli ance is unpl ugged and co ld. ➊ Slide the ha ndle into the m ain sectio n of the appli ance
until it cli cks into plac e. ➋ Slide the fram e part into th e main sectio n of the applian ce until it clic ks into place. • T he handle can be r emoved from th e appliance fo r
easy stor age by pressing th e tube release bu tton placed on t he handle and pul ling the handle ou t of the main applia nce section. ➌ Pl ace a cleaning pad o n the
floor wi th the Velour si de facing up. • L ightly pre ss the appl iance down o nto the clea ning pad. • Nev er use the app liance wi thout firs t attachi ng a cleanin g pad. • Be
sure that th e applianc e is not plugg ed into the el ectrica l socket and no t in action w hilst remov ing the cle aning pad. • Wa it until the p ad cools dow n before rem oving.
• Remove the p ad from the frame c arefully pullin g the pad away with h ands. Danger! Hot water may dr ip out of the acces sory parts w hile you are deta ching
them! Neve r detach acce ssory par ts or pad whil e steam strea ms out - risk of sc alding!
FILLING THE WATER TANK
Note: Fill th e water tank w ith clean ta p water or dis tilled wate r (suggested i n case of hard t ap water). ➍ Remov e the water tan k cap by turni ng anti-clo ckwise. ➎ Fill
the tank wi th water until t he tank is visi bly full. Warning! Tank capacit y is 0.4 litres. Do n ot fill the tank a bove the maxi mum capacit y.
➏ Fit the fil ler cap by turnin g
it firmly c lockwis e. • Ensure the fil ler cap is firm ly secured.
OPERATION
When the w ater tank is cor rectly fille d and the water t ank is correct ly closed, you c an start usi ng your Vileda S TEAM. ➐ Inser t the plug into th e electrici ty socket.
Press the “O N/OFF” button p laced on the back s ide of the appli ance to the ON posi tion. ➑ The Vile da STEAM will n ow start hea ting up the water in side the tank.
•The LED on the w ater tank wi ll be green, th is means that t he applian ce is now heat ing the water. It ta kes 15 seconds f or the water in side the pro duct to heat up a nd
reach the wo rking tempera ture. ➒ Regulate th e desired volume o f steam using the s elector swit ch (see next chapte r) ➓ Start using yo ur Vileda STE AM! • Turn
unit off by s witching “O N/OFF” butto n to OFF positio n. • Disconne ct the mains pl ug from the sock et to turn off th e appliance. V ileda STE AM allows to ki ll 99.9% of
E.coli Bac terium, as tes ted in an exter nal lab.
ADJUSTING THE STEAM QUANTITY

Use the sel ector switc h located abo ve the water ta nk to regulate th e volume of stea m The selecto r switch has t wo positio ns:
Maximu m Steam Volume. Minimum St eam Volume (recom mended for del icate floor s, like parquet o r laminate).
Set the ste am volume selec tor to the requir ed steam volume . Whilst oper ating the steam v olume select or, always have the ap pliance in an upr ight positi on with a
pad on the ba se of the produc t.
REFILLING THE WATER TANK
/ Water need s to be re-filled i nto the tank, if t he steam volu me decrease s during use and n o more steam is em itted in the e nd. 1) Turn the unit off by sw itching
the ON/OFF bu tton to OFF posit ion. 2) Remove the water t ank cap by turning a nti-clockw ise. 3) Fill the tank wi th a maximum of 0.4 lit res of water. 4) Screw the
safety c ap back onto the d evice. If the de vice is not re-fi lled in time, the d evice star ts generat ing a louder sou nd (different fr om standard). Us ing the produc t with
an empty t ank may activ ate the ‘self-pro tection mod e’ and the LED on the w ater tank wi ll light up red. In th is self-prote ction mode, th e device can not be used unt il
the LED lig hts up green.
HOW TO USE T HE CARPET GLID ER
The Carpe t Glider acces sory allow s you to refresh you r carpets wit h the hygienic po wer of steam. 1) Place a c leaning pad on th e floor with the Ve lour side faci ng
up. 2) Lightly p ress the app liance dow n onto the clea ning pad. 3) Plac e the carpet gl ider acces sory und er the applia nce frame wi th cleanin g pad.
4) Gently pus h
the appli ance down on the c arpet glide r accessor y to attach it to t he frame. 5) Be sure to fo llow the FILLI NG THE WATER TANK and the OPE RATIONAL proc esses
mention ed in the previou s chapters. 6) Sta rt refreshi ng your carpet s with the Vile da Carpet Glid er accessor y, pushing the mop a nd glider in a for ward and back-
ward motio n. 7) When you have fin ished refreshin g your carpet or rug , unplug the steam mo p and remove the carp et glider follow ing the below prec autions: •
Always tu rn the unit of f by switchin g the ON/OFF butt on to OFF posit ion before remo ving the carp et glider. • Be sure th at the tool is not p lugged into th e electric al
socket and n ot in action w hilst remo ving the car pet glider o r the pad. • Wait u ntil the car pet glider a nd pad cools d own before re moving. • Rem ove the carp et glider
from the fra me by carefu lly pulling t he cool carp et glider aw ay with hands . Danger! Hot water may drip o ut of the acce ssory pa rts whil e you are detac hing them!
Never det ach accesso ry parts o r pad while ste am streams out - r isk of scald ing! • Always va cuum the carp et thoroughly b efore using th e steam mop.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PRODUCT RECYCLING
• The Viled a STEAM fulfils t he EU direct ive 2002/96/CE, cove ring electrical a nd electronic appl iances and the manag ement of its dispos al. • The packaging
materia l is entirely re cyclable, an d marked with t he recycling s ymbol. Follo w local regul ations for sc rapping. Keep t he packagin g materials (pl astic bags, p olysty-
rene par ts, etc.) out of the reac h of children, as th ey are potentia lly dangerou s. • When the prod uct has reache d the end of its lif e please do not di spose of it wit h
general h ousehold was te. To prevent possib le harm to the env ironment or hum an health from un controlled wa ste disposa l, recycle it resp onsibly to prom ote the
sustain able reuse of ma terial resou rces. •
This mark ing indicate s that this prod uct should not b e disposed wi th other house hold wastes t hroughout the E U. To

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are in do ubt or if the fai lure is not list ed here pleas e contact th e authorize d customer se rvice num ber. Always dis connect the m ains plug and a llow the stea m
cleaner to cool down before performing any maintenance work. Repair works may only be performed by the authorized customer service. If no steam is emitted
anymore an d the LED turns re d, check the wat er level insid e the water tan k and follow the i nstructio ns describe d in the chapter “ Filling The Wa ter Tank”. If there is
still no mo re steam emit ted, the appli ance may need to b e descaled. I n this case foll ow the instru ctions desc ribed in the ch apter “Lime scale Remov al”.
LIMESCALE REMOVAL
If the produ ct begins to pro duce steam mo re slowly tha n usual or stop s producing st eam you may need t o remove limes cale. Limes cale can deve lop over time on
the metal p arts and af fect product p erforman ce. We recommen d removing lime scale on a regu lar basis espe cially in area s with hard tap w ater. The frequen cy of
limesca le removal dep ends upon the h ardness of you r tap water and h ow often you us e the product.
Recommended procedure to remove limescale from the appliance
1. Prepare a solu tion of 1/3 white vi negar and 2/3 ta p water and inse rt it into the w ater tank (approx imately: 135 ml w hite vinegar a nd 265 ml water).
2. Place the S team Mop in a way th at the steam rel eased from th e appliance i s not reaching th e floor, objects o r persons.
3. Plug in the un it and wait for t he green light.
4. Wait unti l all the vineg ar/water soluti on is used up by th e appliance.
5. Repeat th e above proce dure as many time s as necessa ry until a nor mal steam flo w rate is achieve d.
6. Fill the wa ter tank with f resh water, att ach to the unit an d release stea m through the sy stem until the w ater tank is em pty.
Note: aft er each limesc ale removal proc edure, we recomm end to perform a t est using the app liance to clean a s uitable isol ated floor area , to ensure that the re
is no debri s left in the app liance.

tano da superfici calde. • Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in uno spazio chiuso pieno di
vapori derivanti da diluenti per vernici derivati del petrolio, da sostanze anti-tarme, da
polveri infiammabili, o altri vapori tossici o esplosivi. Attenzione! Non usare su le-
gno non sigillato o su pavimenti in laminato non sigillati. Su superfici che sono state
trattate con vernice, cera o anche su alcuni pavimenti non cerati, la lucentezza può
essere rimossa dal calore. Si raccomanda di testare sempre una zona isolata del-
la superficie da pulire, prima di procedere sull’intera area. Non lasciare il prodotto in
funzione fermo sul pavimento, mantenerlo sempre in movimento. Non lasciare mai il
prodotto con il panno in microfibra caldo ed umido a contatto con il pavimento dopo
l’uso. Si raccomanda inoltre di consultare prima le istruzioni per l’uso e la manuten-
zione del fornitore del pavimento. Pericolo! Non inserire mai sostanze aromatiche,
alcoliche o detergenti nel contenitore dell’acqua, perché potrebbero danneggiare
l’apparecchio o renderlo non sicuro all’uso. L’apparecchio emette vapore mol-
to caldo. Questo significa che l’area intorno all’erogatore e al panno diventano mol-
to caldi durante l’uso. Attenzione! Indossare sempre scarpe adatte quando si utilizza
il prodotto e quando si cambiano gli accessori di Vileda STEAM. Non indossare cia-
batte o scarpe aperte. Non aprire il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua quando l’appa-
recchio è collegato alla presa elettrica e fino a quando non si è raffreddato. • Aprire
il serbatoio solo quando il prodotto è in posizione verticale e stabile. Chiudere at-
tentamente il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua dopo averlo riempito o rabboccato con
acqua, girando il tappo di 90° in senso orario fino alla posizione di chiusura. • Usare
solo per la pulizia dei pavimenti; non usare il prodotto capovolto. Questo apparecchio
è destinato esclusivamente ad un utilizzo domestico. • Non utilizzare in piscine con-
tenenti acqua. • Staccare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente e lasciarlo raffred-
dare prima di pulirlo. • Quando non viene utilizzato, l’apparecchio dovrebbe essere
conservato in un luogo asciutto, in posizione verticale. • Tenere l’apparecchio lon-
tano dalla portata dei bambini. • Staccare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente ed
attendere che si raffreddi prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione.
L’apparecchio deve essere scollegato dopo l’uso e prima di eseguire qualsiasi ma-
nutenzione sull’apparecchio. • L’apparecchio non deve essere usato in aree dove
sono presenti rischi di esplosione. • Il prodotto non deve essere usato per pulire
elettrodomestici come forno, scarichi, micro-onde, televisori, impianti di riscalda-
mento, asciugacapelli, impianti elettrici, ecc.• Non toccare mai il getto di vapore con
le mani. • Non cercate mai di aprire il prodotto, per es. svitando o togliendo le viti.

chio. La pulizia e la manutenzione del prodotto non deve essere eseguita dai bambi-
ni. Tenere l’apparecchio fuori dalla portata dei bambini. • E’ vietato qualsiasi utilizzo
del prodotto non espressamente indicato nel presente manuale. L’uso improprio del
prodotto potrebbe infatti essere fonte di rischi anche gravi per la sicurezza di perso-
ne, animali o beni.

• L’apparecchio deve essere collegato esclusivamente ad impianti di fornitu-
ra dell’energia elettrica conformi alla legislazione vigente ed installati in conformi-
tà alla normativa tecnica vigente (IEC 60364). • L’apparecchio deve essere colle-
gato solo alla corrente alternata. Il voltaggio deve corrispondere con quanto indi-
cato indicato sulla targhetta posta sull’’apparecchio. • L’apparecchio deve esse-
re utilizzato solo con il cavo di alimentazione dato in dotazione con l’apparecchio.
• Prima dell’uso, controllare che l’apparecchio non abbia danni o parti difettose.
• Prima dell’uso controllate regolarmente che il cavo di alimentazione dell’apparec-
chio non abbia segni di danni o deterioramento. Se il cavo di alimentazione è dan-
neggiato, deve essere sostituito dal produttore, dal suo servizio di assistenza o da
una persona adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti norme di sicu-
rezza al fine di evitare un pericolo. • L’apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato se è
caduto, se ci sono segni visibili di danni o se perde acqua. • Non maltrattare il cavo di
alimentazione. Non trascinare l’apparecchio per il cavo. • Tenere il cavo di alimenta-
zione lontano da superfici calde e bordi taglienti. • Staccare il cavo di alimentazione
dalla corrente prima di riporre l’apparecchio. • Non cercate di rimuovere o sostitui-
re nessuna parte dell’apparecchio tranne quelle specificate in questo manuale. • In
una situazione di emergenza contattare immediatamente un professionista! Se
il salvavita si attiva mentre si sta utilizzando il prodotto, scollegarlo immediatamen-
te e contattare il servizio clienti locale (Fare attenzione al rischio di scossa elettrica).
RIPARAZIONI
• Non utilizzare l’apparecchio se una qualsiasi parte del cavo di alimentazione o della
presa è danneggiata o difettosa. • Le riparazioni possono essere effettuate solo da
un tecnico o da una persona adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti
norme di sicurezza. Le riparazioni eseguite da personale non qualificato potrebbero
essere pericolose. • Non modificare mai in alcun modo l’apparecchio. Qualsiasi mo-
difica potrebbe aumentare il rischio di danni e infortuni.
DISPOSITIVI DI SICUREZZA
I dispositivi di sicurezza proteggono l’utilizzatore del prodotto e non devono essere
modificati o manomessi.
Termostato di sicurezza
il termostato di sicurezza spegne l’apparecchio in caso di malfunzionamento se il
termostato della caldaia non funziona e l’apparecchio si surriscalda troppo. Contat-

RIMUOVERE IL CALCARE
Se l’apparec chio inizia a emet tere vapore più le ntamente del sol ito o smette di eme ttere vapore pu ò essere necess ario rimuovere i l calcare. Il calc are può svi-
luppars i nel corso del temp o sulle parti me talliche e influ ire sulle presta zioni del prodo tto. Si consigli a di rimuovere il ca lcare regolarm ente soprattu tto nei casi
in cui l’acqua di r ubinetto che si uti lizza è du ra. La freq uenza di rimozione d el calcare dipende d alla durezza dell’acq ua utilizzata e da lla freque nza di utilizzo
dell’apparecchio.
Procedura raccomandata per rimuovere il calcare dall’apparecchio:
1. Preparare un a soluzione c on 1/3 di aceto bianc o e 2/3 di acqua di r ubinetto e in serirla nel s erbatoio de ll’acqua (circa: 135 ml di a ceto bianc o e 265 ml di acqua).
2. Posizio nare il prodot to in modo che il v apore rilasc iato dall’appar ecchio non rag giunga il pav imento, perso ne, animali o ogg etti.
3. Collega re l’apparecchi o alla presa e at tendere che l’in dicatore lum inoso diven ti verde.
4. Attend ere che tutt a la soluzione d i aceto/acqua ven ga utilizza ta dall’appare cchio.
5. Ripeter e la procedura s e necessar io fino a quand o il flusso di vap ore diventa r egolare.
6. Riempir e il serbatoio c on acqua fres ca, collega re l’apparecchi o e rilasciare i l vapore fino a qu ando il serba toio è vuoto.
Nota: dopo o gni procedura d i rimozione del c alcare, si cons iglia di effet tuare un test u tilizzando l’ap parecchio per p ulire una super ficie idone a isolata, al fi ne di
assicurarsi che non siano rimasti detriti nell’apparecchio.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch empfehlen wir, das Gerät an einer unauffälligen Stelle zu
testen. Das Produkt muss während der Nutzung immer in Bewegung sein und darf

mit dem heißen und feuchten Tuch auf dem Boden stehen, entfernen Sie das Tuch
immer nach jeder Nutzung. Wir empfehlen ebenso, die Gebrauchs- und Pflegean-
leitung des Bodenherstellers zu prüfen. Gefahr! Befüllen Sie den Wasserbehäl-
ter nie. mit parfümierten und alkoholhaltigen Lösungen oder Reinigungsprodukten,
da diese das Gerät beschädigen oder für den Gebrauch unsicher machen könn-
ten. Durch den Ausstoß von sehr heißem Dampf heizt sich der Wischbezug wäh-
rend des Gebrauchs sehr stark auf. • Vorsicht! Tragen Sie während des Gebrauchs
des Geräts und des Austauschs des Zubehörs Ihres Vileda Steam stets angemes-
senes Schuhwerk. Tragen Sie keine Hausschuhe oder offene Schuhe. Öffnen Sie
die Kappe des Wasserbehälters nicht, wenn das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz verbun-
den ist oder sofort nach vollständiger Erhitzung des Wassers. • Öffnen Sie den Was-
serbehälter nur wenn das Produkt aufrecht und sicher steht. Schließen Sie die
Kappe des Wasserbehälters gründlich nach Befüllung, indem Sie sie um 90 Grad im
Uhrzeigersinn bis zur „geschlossenen Position“ drehen. • Nur für den Boden zu ver-
wenden; nutzen Sie das Gerät nicht auf dem Kopf stehend. Dieses Gerät ist ledig-
lich für den Innengebrauch. Nutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in swimming pools, in denen
sich Wasser befindet. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vor der Säuberung vom Stromnetz
und lassen Sie es vorher abkühlen. • Bitte trennen Sie das Gerät nach jeder Nutzung

den Behälter und befestigen Sie diese durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn • Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Wasserbehälter sicher verschlossen ist.
ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES
Sobald der Wasserbehälter korrekt gefüllt und verschlossen ist, ist der Vileda STEAM einsatzbereit. ➐ Verbinden Sie das G erät mit dem Strom netz. Stellen s ie

EINSTELLUNG DES DAMPFAUSSTOSSES
➒ Zur Regulierung der Dampfmenge nutzen Sie den Dampfregler üb er dem Wasserbehälter. Der Regler ermöglicht zwei Einstellungen:
Maximales Dampfvolumen. Minimales Dampf volumen (empfohlen für empfindliche Böden, w ie Parkett und Laminat).
Stellen S ie den Regler auf das g ewünschte Dampf volumen. Stell en Sie dabei sicher, das s das Gerät aufrec ht steht und sich ein W ischbezug unter d em Gerät
befindet.
NACHFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS
/ Sollten Si e bei der Benutz ung des Gerätes me rken, dass der Da mpfausstoß nac hlässt oder üb erhaupt kein Dam pf mehr ausgest oßen wird, muss Wa sser
nachgef üllt werden. 1) Ste llen Sie das G erät ab, inde m Sie den An-/Auss chalter au f „OFF“ stelle n. 2) Öffnen S ie den Wass erbehält er durch Dreh en der Versch luss-
kappe gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. 3) Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit maximal 400ml Wasser. 4) Verschließen Sie den Wasserbehälter durch Drehen der Ver-
schluss kappe im Uhrze igersinn. Sol lte das Wasser n icht rechtze itig nachgefü llt werden, er tönt ein klopfe ndes Geräusc h. Bei Verwendun g des Geräts mi t einem
leeren Tank ka nn sich automati sch der Schutz modus aktiv ieren. In diese m Fall leuchtet di e LED rot auf. Eine Nut zung des Geräte s ist erst dann w ieder möglich,
wenn die LE D wieder grün a ufleuchtet .
BENUTZUNG DES TEPPICHGLEITERS
Mit dem Teppic hgleiter können S ie den Vileda STE AM auch auf Ihren Teppi chen anwenden un d diese mit der hygie nischen Wirku ng des Dampfes auf frischen.
1)Legen Sie ei nen Vileda Ste am Wischbez ug mit der glatt en Seite nach obe n auf den Boden. 2) Drü cken Sie das Ger ät mit leichtem D ruck auf den Wi schbezug.
3)Platzieren Sie den dreieckigen Teppichgleiter auf den Boden. 4) Set zen Sie das Gerä t in den Teppichglei ter und drücken Sie e s leicht nach unt en. 5) Stel-
len Sie sic her, dass Sie die vorh er beschriebe nen Schritte zum BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS un d der ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES befolgen. 6) Jetz t
können Sie m it der Benutz ung des Teppichgl eiters auf Ihr en Teppichen begi nnen – bewege n Sie dafür das G erät vor und zurü ck. 7) Nach der Be nutzung tren nen
Sie das Gerät bitte vom Stromnetz und entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter. Bitte beachten Sie dabei die folgenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen: • Vor dem Entfernen des
Teppichgle iters müssen S ie das Gerät au sstellen, ind em Sie den An-/Aussc halter auf „OFF “ stellen. • Stel len Sie siche r, dass das Gerät vom S tromnetz ge trennt
und nicht in N utzung ist, wen n Sie den Teppichglei ter oder den Wis chbezug vom Gerä t entfernen. • Wa rten Sie bis das G erät abgekühlt i st, bevor Sie den Tep-
pichgleiter und/oder den Wischbezug entfernen. • Entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter durch vorsichtiges Ziehen am Teppichgleiter mit den Händen. Achtung:

Vor jeglich en Wartungs arbeiten ste llen Sie bitt e sicher, dass das Ge rät vom Stromne tz getrennt und a bgekühlt ist . Falls kein Dampf m ehr ausgestoß en wird und
die LED rot le uchtet, prüfen S ie bitte die Wass erhöhe im Behälte r und folgen Sie den A nweisungen unte r „Befüllen des Was serbehälter s“. Sollte an schließend
immer noc h kein Dampf ausg estoßen wer den, müsste da s Gerät ggf. entk alkt werde n. In diesem Fall f olgen Sie bit te den Hinwei sen zur Entka lkung des Ger ätes.
HINWE ISE ZUR ENTK ALKUNG DES G ERÄTES
Fall das Pro dukt deut lich langs amer oder g ar keinen Dam pf mehr aust ößt, kann es n otwendi g sein, das Ge rät zu entka lken. Kalk ka nn sich im La ufe der Zeit a uf den
Metallteilen des Gerätes ablagern und die Funktionsfähigkeit beeinträchtigen. Wir empfehlen Kalkablagerungen regelmäßig zu entfernen, insbesondere wenn
Sie in einer Region mit stark kalkhaltigen Wasser wohnen. Die Häufigkeit in der Kalkablagerungen entfernt werden müssen ist abhängig von der Wasserhär te und
der Häufi gkeit mit der Si e das Gerät ben utzen.
So können Sie ihr Gerät entkalken:
1. Mischen Sie 1/3 we ißen Essig (ca. 135 ml) und 2/3 (ca. 265ml) L eitungswa sser und füll en Sie den Was serbehälte r des Gerätes .
2. Platzie ren Sie den Vil eda Steam so, da ss der Dampf ni cht auf eine Ob erfläche, G egenstän de oder Perso nen treffen k ann.
3. Verbinde n Sie das Gerät m it dem Stromn etz und wart en Sie bis die LE D grün aufleuc htet.
4. Warten Sie bis der Wasserbehälter leer ist.
5. Wiede rholen Sie die ses Vorgehen b is der Dampf wi eder in der gew ohnten Form aus tritt.
6. Füllen Sie d en Wasserb ehälter mit fr ischem Was ser und lasse n Sie den Dampf s o lange austre ten bis der Behä lter leer ist .
