Usage Features

  • Dual Zone Temperature Control: Allows for separate temperature settings for the upper wine zone and the lower beverage drawer, catering to different storage needs.
  • Temperature Setting: Users can adjust the desired temperature for each zone using "Temperature up" and "Temperature down" buttons. The LED readout displays the set temperature.
  • Temperature Display Toggle: A °C/°F toggle button allows switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit display for temperature.
  • Interior Light: A dedicated "Light" button controls the internal illumination, useful for displaying contents.
  • Optimal Serving Temperatures: The manual provides charts with recommended serving temperatures for various wine styles (e.g., Armagnac, Full Bodied Red Wines, Light Bodied White Wines, Vintage Sparkling) and beverage styles (e.g., Water, Black Ale, Juice, Sour Beers, Coca-Cola, Dairy).
  • Wine Storage Recommendation: Wines should generally be stored at approximately 55°F (13°C) for preservation.
  • Beverage Storage Recommendation: Beverages should generally be stored at approximately 39°F (4°C) for preservation.
  • Racking Configuration: The unit features smooth glide-out shelves with rollers. These shelves are adjustable in 1 1/4" increments to accommodate different bottle sizes. Shelves can be removed to create space for larger diameter bottles.
  • Handle Installation: The unit includes a stainless steel handle that can be installed by pulling away the door gasket, securing it with screws, lock washers, and flat washers, then replacing the gasket.
  • Power Interruption Memory: In case of a power interruption, previous temperature settings are automatically saved and restored when power returns.
  • Compressor Protection: A built-in compressor protection feature requires a 3-5 minute delay before restarting the unit after being unplugged, losing power, or being turned off.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
    • Interior surfaces should be washed with a warm water and baking soda solution (2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water).
    • Shelves should be washed with a mild detergent solution.
    • Control panels and electrical parts should be cleaned with a wrung-out sponge or cloth.
    • The exterior cabinet should be cleaned with warm water and mild liquid detergent, then wiped dry with a soft cloth.
    • Do not use harsh cleansers, scouring pads, or flammable fluids.
  • Defrosting: The unit features automatic defrosting. Condensate collects in a drainage channel and evaporates from a drip tray near the compressor.
  • Power Failure Protection: In case of extended power outages, steps should be taken to protect the contents.
  • Inactivity:
    • For inactivity periods less than three weeks, leave the cooler operating.
    • For several months of inactivity, remove all items, turn off the unit, clean and dry the interior thoroughly, and leave the door slightly open to prevent moisture build-up.
  • Moving the Unit:
    • Remove all items from the cooler.
    • Securely tape down loose items and shelves.
    • Turn adjustable legs up to the base to prevent damage.
    • Tape the door shut.
    • Ensure the unit remains upright during transport and protect the exterior with a blanket.
    • Do not slide the unit into place; do not incline it more than 45 degrees.
  • Energy Saving Tips:
    • Locate the unit in the coolest area of the room, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
    • Ensure proper ventilation clearances around the unit and never cover air vents.
    • Minimize door openings to maintain internal temperature.
