5 Locked rotor
If food becomes lodged around the blending blade or in the blade guard, release the trigger switch,
unplug the power cord and remove the blending shaft from the motor body. Use a spatula to dislodge the
food. Do not use fingers as blending blade is sharp.
4 Motor over temperature Unplug and allow to cool (30 minutes).
3 Motor fault Unplug. Contact Vitamix customer service.
2 Max runtime reached Release On/O button. No cool down is required. Contact Vitamix Customer Service if the issue
doesn’t resolve.
When an error mode is experienced, the Immersion Blender will enter VLS (very low speed) mode and flash a pattern of LEDs to indicate there is an
error. This low speed will protect the electronics and motor when in fault mode.
