What to do if water leaks from the steam openings of the Vitek VT-1284 G soleplate?
- CCharles MorganAug 10, 2025
If water leaks from the steam openings of your Vitek Iron's soleplate, there could be a few reasons. First, ensure that the selected temperature mode is appropriate for steam ironing; set the ironing temperature within the range between «••», «•••» and «???». If you've paused ironing for a long time, the steam in the hose might have cooled and condensed; this is normal. Press the steam supply button, directing the soleplate away from clothing, and hold it until the water stops leaking. Also, scale and dirt inside the boiler can cause leaking; wait for the unit to cool completely and then clean the boiler.
