Overview

This document describes the VITEK VT-7131 Chopper, a versatile kitchen appliance designed for chopping various food items.

Function Description

The VITEK VT-7131 Chopper is primarily used for chopping a small amount of meat, onions, herbs, garlic, vegetables, and fruits, as well as for preparing sauces, cocktails, and whipping cream or making sugar frosting. It is designed for household use only and is not intended for commercial or industrial applications.

The device features:

  • Turbo button (high speed): For quick and efficient chopping.
  • Motor unit: The main power component.
  • Bowl lid: Covers the chopping bowl.
  • Garlic peeling knife: A specialized attachment for peeling garlic.
  • Cream whipping attachment: For whipping cream.
  • Knife: The main chopping blade.
  • Chopper bowl: The container where food is processed.
  • Rubber base: Provides stability during operation.

Usage Features

Before First Use:

  • After transportation or storage at low temperatures, allow the device to sit at room temperature for at least three hours.
  • Unpack the unit and remove any stickers.
  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the device matches your home's mains voltage.
  • Wash all removable parts (bowl lid, knife, chopper bowl, garlic peeling knife, cream whipping attachment) with warm water and a neutral detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not wash removable chopper parts in a dishwasher.
  • Wipe the motor unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
  • Do not immerse the motor unit, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquids.

Chopping Food:

  • Caution: The knife blades are very sharp. Always handle the knife by its upper plastic part.
  • Before assembling, ensure the power plug is not inserted into the socket.
  • Place the chopper bowl (7) with the rubber base (8) on a flat, stable, and non-slip surface (Fig. 1).
  • Install the knife (6) into the chopper bowl (7) on the axis (Fig. 2).
  • Place pre-cut products into the chopper bowl (7).
  • Note: Do not switch on the unit without food in the bowl. The amount of food for processing should not exceed 2/3 of the bowl's capacity and should not be below the cutting blades of the knife (6).
  • Place the bowl lid (3) on the chopper bowl (7), matching the latches on the lid with the grooves on the bowl, and turn the lid counterclockwise until a soft click (Fig. 4).
  • Install the motor unit (2) on the lid (3), matching the plastic end of the knife with the middle opening of the motor unit (Fig. 5).
  • Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
  • To switch on the chopper, press and hold the motor unit (2) to press it to the lid (3). The unit will switch on and start operating. If you press and hold down the turbo button (1), the unit will operate at maximum rotation speed.
  • Note: If food processing is hindered or the food level is below the knife's cutting edges, add some liquid (water, juice, broth).
  • Press the motor unit (2) with one hand and hold the bowl (7) with the other during operation.
  • After using the chopper, wait for the knife to stop completely (6).
  • Remove the power plug from the mains socket.
  • Remove the motor unit (2) from the lid (3).
  • Remove the lid (3) from the bowl (7) by turning the lid (4) clockwise to unlock.
  • Carefully remove the knife (6) taking it by the plastic end.
  • Take the chopped products out of the bowl (7).

Chopping Recommendations (Time/Additional Recommendation):

  • Meat (200 g): 4 times for 12 seconds. During the stopping process, scrape the meat on the wall of the cup to the middle. The pork is required to be small and even.
  • Beef (200 g): 4 times for 12 seconds. During the stopping process, scrape the meat on the wall of the cup to the middle. The beef is required to be small and even.
  • Ice (100 g): Beat 15 times in 1 second. The ice cubes are required to be very fine.
  • Onion (100 g): Beat 1 time for 6 seconds. The onion is required to be small and even.
  • Apricots (200 g): Beat 3 times for 15 seconds. The almonds are required to be fine and even.
  • Carrots (200 g): Beat 3 times for 15 seconds. The carrots are required to be small and even.
  • Cream (100 g): Beat 1 time for 30 seconds. Requirements: beat the milk into a solid state, and turn the cream over without failing.
  • Cream (200 g): Beat 1 time for 30 seconds. Requirements: beat the milk into a solid state, and turn the cream over without failing.
  • Garlic bulb, with husk (100 g): Hit once every 20 seconds. Requirements: 80% skinning rate.

Whipping Cream:

  • Use the attachment (5) to whip cream. The attachment (5) is used together with the knife (6).
  • Place the bowl (7) with the rubber base (8) on an even, stable, and non-slip surface (Fig. 1).
  • Install the attachment (5) on the knife (6) as shown in the Fig. 3.
  • Install the knife (6) with the attachment (5) on the axis in the bowl (7).
  • Pour 100 to 200 ml cream into the bowl (see the table below).
  • Place the lid (3) on the bowl (7), having matched the latches on the lid (4) with the grooves on the bowl (7), and turn the lid counterclockwise until a soft click (Fig. 4).
  • Install the motor unit (2) on the lid (3), matching the plastic end of the knife with the middle opening of the motor unit (Fig. 5).
  • Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
  • To switch on the chopper, press and hold the motor unit (2) to press it to the lid (3). The unit will switch on and start operating. If you press and hold down the turbo button (1), the unit will operate at maximum rotation speed.

Garlic Peeling:

  • To peel the garlic bulbs, use the garlic peeling knife (4).

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • ATTENTION! The cutting edges of the knife (6) blades are very sharp and dangerous. Handle the knife very carefully.
  • Do not wash the removable parts of the chopper in a dishwashing machine except the bowl (7).
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Remove the motor unit (2) from the lid (3).
  • Remove the lid (3) from the bowl (7).
  • Carefully remove the knife (6).
  • Before washing the bowl (7), the lid (3), and the knife (6), clean them from solid product mass with a wooden spatula or a spoon.
  • Wash the removable parts in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry them thoroughly.
  • Clean the motor unit (2) with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
  • After processing salty or sour products, rinse the knife (6) with water immediately.
  • While processing products with strong dyeing properties (for instance, carrot or beetroot), plastic parts can get colored. Wipe them with a cloth dampened in vegetable oil; after that, wash the parts with neutral detergent and dry them.
  • DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT (2) INTO ANY LIQUIDS; DO NOT WASH IT UNDER A WATER JET OR IN A DISHWASHING MACHINE.

Storage:

  • Clean the unit before taking it away for storage.
  • Store the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

Recycling:

  • For environmental protection, do not throw out the unit and the batteries (if included); do not discard the unit and the batteries with usual household waste after the service life expiration; apply to specialized centers for further recycling.
  • The waste generated during the disposal of the unit is subject to mandatory collection and consequent disposal in the prescribed manner.
  • For further information about recycling of this product, apply to a local municipal administration, a disposal service, or to the shop where you purchased this product.
