Why does my VivaLNK Thermometer show unusual temperature data?

If you're getting unusual temperature data from your VivaLNK Thermometer, there are several possible causes. The device might be damaged, in which case you should contact customer service at (408) 663-6784. Ensure the device is worn correctly and is making good contact with the armpit. Make sure that the device is attached to the armpit for at least eight minutes before taking a reading. Keep your arm in a natural, dropping position during calibration. The operating temperature may be too high or low, so use the device within the recommended temperature range. Ensure the Fever Scout™ patch is paired before wearing it. The temperature sensor should be covered by the arm, and avoid touching the sensor before wearing the device.
