2.1.5 Then test the control code setting
by trying to control (in this example) your
television set. If it does not work at all or
not correctly try a different code from the
list or code search (see below).
2.1.6 To make the setting for a DVB
(SAT, CBL), receiver or a cable box,
press the DVB (SAT, CBL) button
instead of TV and enter a DVB (SAT,
CBL) code accordingly.
2.2 Code search
If the brand of your appliance is not in
the list or none of the codes given fits,
we recommend a code search.
2.2.1 Switch on the appliance to be
controlled. Program is running. A
channel number, for example, appears in
the display of your DVB (SAT, CBL)ellite
receiver.
2.2.2 Press the TV or DVB (SAT, CBL)
appliance button according to the
appliance type to be controlled, e.g. DVB
(SAT, CBL).
2.2.3 Keep the ON/OFF PWR
(appliance on/off) and Mute buttons
pressed simultaneously(!) until the lamp
lights constantly.
2.2.4 Press the ON/OFF PWR
(appliance on/off) button once briefly.
2.2.5 The UR Zap 2 II emits a different
signal every 1.3 seconds. When your
appliance reacts, very quickly press the
Mute button to confirm a functioning
control code. It is advisable to have
your finger already placed on the Mute
button so that you can react quickly
enough. Otherwise the UR Zap 2 II emits
the next signal before you have reacted.
2.2.6 Finally, test the control code
setting by trying to control your DVB
(SAT, CBL) appliance. If it does not work
correctly, please try the code search
again.
Note: Remember to switch your
appliance, e.g. DVB (SAT, CBL), back
on again if you wish to continue
searching.
2.3 Code Identification
You can identify the codes you have set
at any time:
2.3.1 Select the appliance to be
controlled using the TV or DVB (SAT,
CBL) button.
2.3.2 Keep the On/Off PWR and Mute
buttons pressed simultaneously(!) until
the lamp lights constantly.
2.3.3 Press the Ch-
button briefly
once.
2.3.4 Then count off the code. First
press Vol
briefly and count the
number of times the hundred blinks, then
press Ch+
briefly and count the
number of times the ten blinks and
finally, press Vol
briefly the number of
times the one blinks. No blink means
0. You can note the numbers on the
back of the battery compartment, e.g. for
quick code entry after replacing the
batteries.
3 Operation
You operate the basic functions of your
appliances in the same way as if you
were using the original remote controls.
Select device to be controlled by
pressing TV or DVB (SAT, CBL) button.
3.1 Comfort buttons
The Zap on One button (channel 1
button): Some appliances can only be
switched on with this button and not with
the PWR On/Off button. In addition, this
button brings you back quickly to
Channel 1 if you are able to watch many
channels and are currently watching a
channel with a long channel number.
The lower channel number settings are
frequently the most important channels.
Scan: When you press this button a
channel-up signal CH+ is emitted every
1,3 seconds and the following channels
are shown one after the other without
your having to press a button repeatedly.
This function stops when you press any
button and ends automatically after 2
minutes.
