What to do if Vocord PHOBOS Recording Equipment detects CallerID number incorrectly?
    • G
      Gary HernandezAug 1, 2025
First, decrease the Number of CallerID Requests to 1. If the problem persists and the Hook-off Signal Delay [ms] is not zero, decrease its value in 50ms steps. For the PHOBOS™ A4U adapter, ensure the Hook-off Signal Delay [ms] exceeds the Hook-off Detection Time for Incoming Calls [ms] by at least 50ms. If the issue remains, decrease the Signal Duration [ms] (for the PHOBOS™ A4) and CallerID Request Duration [ms] (for the PHOBOS™ A4U and PHOBOS™ A8) in 50ms steps.

If the problem is not solved, increase Hook-off Signal Delay [ms] over the range [0 to 300] in 50ms steps. For the PHOBOS™ A4U adapter, the value of the Hook-off Signal Delay [ms] should exceed the value of Hook-off Detection Time for Incoming Calls [ms] by not less than 50ms. For PHOBOS™ A8 cards, increase the value in the Request Signal Level [dB] field from CallerID Settings up to 3. If the problem is not solved, increase Number of CallerID Requests up to 3. If this does not help, increase the CallerID Request Delay [ms] value from up to in steps until the problem is solved.

Open the Hook-off Threshold [V] window and set the Voltages Settings value to 40 Volts. If the problem is not solved, try Hook-off Threshold [V] values over the range [20 to 40], decreasing the value from 40V in 5V steps. If the problem is still not solved, measure the line voltages in on-hook and off-hook states with a DC voltmeter. Set the Hook-off Threshold [V] value to their average.
