This document is an installation and user guide for the VOGUE Induction Cooktop, model 320267. It provides essential information to prevent accidents or damage during installation and first-time use.
Function Description
The VOGUE Induction Cooktop is a kitchen appliance designed for cooking and heating food and liquids. It utilizes induction technology, which generates heat directly in the pan through electromagnetic vibrations, rather than heating the glass surface indirectly. This makes it an efficient and economical cooking method. The cooktop features multiple heating zones, including standard zones and a flexible/bridge zone, offering versatility for various cooking needs.

Usage Features
The cooktop is operated via touch controls, which respond to touch without requiring pressure. It includes several features to enhance cooking and safety:
- On-Off Control: A dedicated button (5) to power the appliance on or off.
- Heating Zone Selection Controls: Used to select individual cooking zones.
- Round Slider Control for Power: Allows for precise adjustment of power levels for each zone.
- Booster Function Control (6): Provides a temporary power boost to a selected zone for 5 minutes, enabling faster cooking. If two zones in the same group are boosted simultaneously, the power level will automatically adjust.
- Flex/Bridge Zone Control (7): This feature allows two independent inductors to be used as a single large cooking zone or as two separate zones. When used as a single zone, cookware can be placed anywhere within the silk-screened area. For optimal performance with the bridge function, cookware should be at least 210mm in diameter and centered on the cooking zone, covering both crosses.
- Timer Regulating Controls (2): The timer can be used as a minute minder (up to 99 minutes) or to automatically turn off one or more cooking zones after a set time.
- Child Lock Control (4): Locks the controls to prevent unintended use, disabling all controls except the ON/OFF button. An indicator will show 'Lo' when activated.
- Auto Shutdown: A safety feature that automatically shuts down a cooking zone if it is left on for an extended period, with default shutdown times varying by power level (e.g., 8 hours for power levels 1-3, 2 hours for power levels 7-9).
- Residual Heat Warning ('H'): After use, if a cooking zone is still hot to touch, an 'H' will be displayed. This also serves as an energy-saving function, indicating a hotplate that can be used to heat further pans.
- Over-Temperature Protection: A temperature sensor monitors the internal temperature of the ceramic hob and will automatically stop operation if an excessive temperature is detected.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning the Hob Surface:
- For everyday soiling (fingerprints, marks, non-sugary spills), switch off the cooktop, apply a cooktop cleaner while the glass is still warm (not hot), rinse, and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
- For boilovers, melts, and hot sugary spills, immediately switch off the power at the wall. Use a fish slice, palette knife, or razor blade scraper at a 30° angle to scrape the spill to a cool area, then clean with a dishcloth or paper towel. It is crucial to remove sugary spills as soon as possible to prevent permanent damage.
- For spills on touch controls, switch off the cooktop, soak up the spill, wipe the area with a clean damp sponge or cloth, and then dry completely before turning the cooktop back on.
- Important: Do not use heavy-duty scourers, some nylon scourers, or harsh/abrasive cleaning agents as they may scratch the glass. Always read cleaner labels. Never leave cleaning residue on the cooktop.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of common problems, possible causes, and solutions, including:
- Cooktop not turning on (no power, controls locked).
- Unresponsive or difficult-to-operate controls (film of water, using fingertip).
- Scratched glass (rough-edged cookware, unsuitable cleaning products).
- Pan noises (normal due to cookware construction or induction technology).
- Fan noise (normal cooling function).
- Pans not heating (unsuitable cookware, pan too small or not centered).
- Error codes (F3/F4, F9/FA, E1/E2, E3, E5) with instructions to contact the supplier or restart the cooker.
- Electrical Safety: Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply before any maintenance. Connection to a good earth wiring system is essential. Alterations to domestic wiring must be done by a qualified electrician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
- Pacemaker Warning: The induction hob generates magnetic fields. Individuals with cardiac pacemakers should consult their doctor or pacemaker manufacturer to ensure compatibility and prevent interference.
- Disposal: The appliance is marked with the WEEE symbol, indicating it should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. It requires specialist waste disposal and should be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic goods.
