System Connections
In 2 way active mode Stasys 3 use's the 4 pole speakons. Pins +1 and -1 are connected to the LF
section and pins +2 and -2 are connected to the MHF section. An internal 3.2 KHz 2 way passive
crossover is used between the MF and HF sections when Stasys 3 is used in 2 way passive mode.
The suggested crossover frequency in 2 way active mode is 800 Hz between the LF and the MHF
sections.
In 3 way active mode the Stasys 3 use's the 8 pole speakons. Pins +1 and -1 are connected to the LF
section, pins +2 and -2 are connected to the MF section and pins +3 and -3 are connected to the HF
section. Pins +4 and -4 are not used. Programs are available for the Digidrive and Livedrive processors
which set the correct frequencies, filter type and slope for both 2 way and 3 way active modes.
The switch to change operating modes can be found on the rear connector panel.
Stasys 3's 4 pole speakon connectors are wired in parallel, the 8 pole speakons are also wired in
parallel, so either speakon can be used as the input. The other speakon can be used as a link output.
Do not connect to the 4 pole and 8 pole speakons at the same time
Please make sure the rear panel switch is set for the correct operating mode
Precautions
Please consider the following precautions during use :
1. Install the Stasys 3 enclosure in a dry environment, do not expose the cabinet to rain or moisture.
2. When flying or mounting the Stasys 3 ensure safe working practices and follow the recommended
rigging guidelines.
3. The Stasys 3 enclosure contains very powerful magnets. Do not locate an enclosure near any
sensitive equipment such as: VDU monitors, CRT TV's or high gain preamplifiers.
