Sliding/tilting
roof*

With ignition switched on, the roof can be
opened and closed
with
the switch.
To
open
Press
switch 1.
To close
Press
switch 2.
Notes
• If the roof is open and should be tilted,
press
button
3 and hold
until
the function is
complete.
If the roof should be opened directly from
the
tilted
position, press
button
1 and hold
until
the function is complete.
• When
tilting
the glass
roof,
the screen to
prevent intensive sunlight shining in will
also
open automatically
with
the
roof.
If re-
quired it can be closed by hand when the
roof is closed.
• II the sliding roof is open wide and there
is
a high level of wind noise at high speed,
the roof should be closed so far
that
the
noise
is eliminated.
To
tilt
Press
button
3.
To
lower
Press
switch 2.
Warning
Care
should be
taken
when
clos-
ing the
roof!
Careless or uncon-
trolled
closing of the
roof
could
cause
injuries.
Therefore,
when
leaving
the
vehicle
always
take
the
ignition
key
with
you.

Emergency
operation
If the system should develop a
fault
the roof
can
also be closed by hand.

• Carefully press in the two retaining clips
(arrow)
of the plastic cover (B)
with
the
flat
blade of the screwdriver
until
the plastic
cover
is disengaged.
• Fold plastic cover down.
• Turn protective cap (C) of crank opening
clockwise.
• Pull crank (D) out of retainer, insert it in
the opening and close sliding
roof.
• Replace crank in retainer, and fit protec-
tive cap over crank opening.
• Replace cover.
