Instrument and
switch lighting
When the lights are on, turning the knurled
wheel on the right of the switch will set the
intensity
of
instrument and switch lighting
to
any level.

- Headlight range
control*
With
the
electrical
range
control the head-
light settings can be matched exactly to the
ioad condition of vehicle.
This
prevents on-
coming traffic
from
being dazzled more than
is unavoidable. At the same time the correct
headlight beam setting provides
the
best
possible visibility for the driver.
The headlights
can
only
be
regulated with
the dipped headlights switched on.
To lower the beams, turn knurled disc from
the basic position
(-)
downwards.

Hazard warning lights
The system also works when the ignition
is
switched off.
Switch
on the
hazard warning lights
if, for
example:
-
You reach the
tail
end
of
a traffic
jam.
-
You have an emergency
-
Your vehicle stops following
a
technical
defect,
When
the
hazard warning lights
are
switched on, all four
signal
lights flash sim-
ultaneously. The warning lamps for the
indi-
cators and a warning lamp in the switch will
also flash.

legal requirements when employing

Roof
vent
The system also works when the ignition
is
switched
off.
Please always ensure, therefore, that
the
roof vent
is
switched off when leaving
the
vehicle.
This
will prevent the battery from
being used unnecessarily
if the
vehicle
is
not used for some time.
Upper
switch

extraction

the

lamp lights up in the switch.
The air extraction function can be turned off
by pressing
the
switch again.
The
lamp

out.

The ventilation function can be turned off by

the
switch again.

The system also works when the ignition

switched
