Folding
seat*
The
backrest
of the
single
seat
next to the
centre
seat
bench
can be folded in
such
a
manner
to
enable
easy
access
to the
rear
seat
bench.
Folding
backrest down
Warning
For
safety reasons the backrest
must always be latched vertically
when vehicle is in motion.
•
Unlatch
backrest
and fold forwards (left-
hand
illustration).
Removing
seat
Please

•
Set
seat
into sitting
position.
•
Press
both
levers
on
base
of
seat
down-
wards
- see illustration
above.
•
Press
seat
towards left
hand
side
in
direction
of
seat
bench
and take out.
Installing
seat
Please
refer to the general notes on
page 93.
•
To install the
seat,
place
seat
on left
hand
side
of the
securing
elements
on
vehicle
floor.
•
Press
the two
levers
on
base
of the
seat
down
and pull the
seat
to the right until it
en-
gages
firmly in the
securing
parts.

Rotating
seat*
The
function of the rotating
seat
corre-
sponds
to that of the rotating driver's and
front
passenger
seat
(see
page
75)
Group
0 child seats may be
fitted
to
a rotating seat only when the seat is
facing in the direction of
travel
and
securely
engaged.
For
information about properly se-
curing
child seats and
what
to
check,
see book 2.1.
I Warning
When the vehicle is moving the
rotating seats must be facing for-
ward
and properly secured.
Removing
seat
Please
refer to the general notes on
page 93.
•
Remove
the
covers
from the four
bolts.
•
Remove
the four bolts and
remove
seat
(arrows
in
diagram
indicate the two left
bolts).
•
Screw
in and tighten all four bolts in the
securing
points.
•
Replace
the
covers
on the
bolts.
Installing
seat
Please
refer to the general notes on
page 93.
•
Remove
the
covers
from the four
bolts.
•
Remove
the four
bolts.
•
Place
the
seat
over
the
securing
points in
such
a way that all four bolts can be
screwed
into the
securing
points.
•
Then
tighten all four
bolts.
•
Replace
the
covers
on the four
bolts.
Warning
Always ensure
that that
the ro-
tating
seat securing bolts are
tightened fully again.
The security of the seat belts and
therefore the safety of the
pass-
engers depends upon it.
Please
have the tightening
torque of the securing bolts
checked
by a Volkswagen dealer
after
the seat has been installed.
