Instructions
The Voltaic V88 Laptop Battery is designed to charge most laptops,
tablets, cell phones, and DSLR cameras. Battery can be recharged
while it is charging a laptop or other device. For devices that require a
lot of power (such as large laptops) ensure the V88 has at least a
partial charge before charging and discharging at the same time.
The interior of a solar charger case can become hot in the
sun. In hot conditions, open the battery compartment to
increase air flow and avoid overheating.

To Change Voltage
Remove DC Out Cable. Hold the
Power Button until the Output
Voltage flashes (3 seconds), then
release. Press again to cycle through
voltage levels. Reconnect DC Out
Cable to charge device.
On/Off Switch
To turn off all outputs, double tap the Power Button.
Press again to turn on.

Laptop Charging Tips:
For correct voltage setting, see back of laptop or AC charger (Output
Voltage). Use that voltage level (or lower) to charge.
If the V88 turns off unexpectedly, connect to a power source to reset.
Charge your laptop in Sleep Mode to avoid overloading the V88.
Use laptop power management to maximize battery life and turn off WiFi
whenever possible.
For Dell & HP adapters, the standard “J” adapter will run the laptop but
will not recharge the battery. See our website for custom adapters.

Tips for Fastest Solar Charging
Place solar panel(s) outside in direct sunlight. Panel(s) will not
work inside. Charge time increases on cloudy days.
Point panel(s) directly at the sun, avoid shading the panel(s).
Confirm battery is charging - Battery Level Indicator will flash in
sequence.

Charge V88 fully every 5 months to preserve battery life. Store between
-20º to 35ºC (-4º to 95ºF). Charge between 0º to 45ºC (32º to 113ºF). Do
not expose the battery to high heat or direct flame. Dispose of properly. Do
not throw in trash or incinerate. Do not get battery wet, or store in high
humidity, or otherwise short circuit. Do not disassemble or tamper with.
Charge From AC Power
Connect the 20V AC Charger to the DC Input Port on the V88. The
Battery Level Indicator will flash in sequence.

Always On Mode
Recommended for IoT applications.
Prevents battery from turning off
automatically. Hold the Power Button
until the LED screen reads “Always
On Mode” (~5 seconds). For more:

Auto Off Mode
For everyday use and long term storage use Auto Off mode. To switch
back to this mode hold Power Button until “Always On Mode” disappears
from LED screen (~ 5 seconds).
To Charge USB Devices
Press the Power Button to activate
the USB or USB-C Port. The V88’s
LED screen will light up.
Connect to device using the
manufacturer’s USB charging cable.

To Charge Laptops
Select the correct voltage for your
laptop model.
Next, plug in the DC Out Cable to
the DC Output Port. Plug into your
laptop using the appropriate adapter.
