Usage Features:
- Tilt/Panning Action: The pan head features a tilt/panning locking handle. To unlock the head, twist the handle counter-clockwise, allowing the head to move freely for adjustment. Twist the handle clockwise to lock the head in the desired position. For panning, the handle can be twisted clockwise to achieve the desired amount of resistance while still allowing the head to rotate horizontally.
- Adjusting Leg Angles: Each of the three tripod legs can be independently adjusted to three distinct angles: 80°, 52°, or 24°. This flexibility allows the tripod to adapt to uneven terrain or to achieve very low-angle shots. To adjust, flip the Leg Angle Pivot Lock down to the unlocked position, set the leg to the desired angle, and then return the pivot lock to the locked position, pulling the leg out to the nearest angle stop.
- Adjusting Leg Section Length: The tripod's three leg sections can be extended to adjust the overall height. To extend a leg section, twist the 1/4 Turn Leg Lock clockwise (when viewed from the top) to loosen it. Slide the leg section out to the desired length, then twist the Leg Lock counter-clockwise to secure it in place.
- Center Column Adjustment: The center column's height can be adjusted by loosening the Center Column Height Adjustment Knob. This allows for fine-tuning the height of the tripod head.
- Attaching Optics to Pan Head: The pan head utilizes an Arca-Swiss style quick-release plate system. To mount an optic or camera, twist the Quick-Release Locking Knob counter-clockwise to remove the quick-release plate. Attach the plate to your optic, ensuring the Mount Bolt is tightened from the bottom side and the D-ring lies flat. Then, place the quick-release plate back into the tripod head and turn the Quick-Release Locking Knob clockwise to securely lock the plate.
- Detachable Counterweight Hook: A counterweight hook is located at the bottom of the center column. This hook allows users to hang additional weight, such as a backpack, to increase the tripod's stability, particularly in windy conditions. The center column can also be removed by rotating the Counterweight Hook clockwise (when looking down on the tripod).
