Do you have a question about the Vortice DEUMIDO 10 EVO and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the DEUMIDO 10 EVO and DEUMIDO 14 EVO, which are dehumidifiers designed for both residential and commercial use.
The device functions as a dehumidifier, controlling relative humidity by drawing air through the unit. Excess moisture in the air condenses on the cold cooling elements. This condensed water is then collected in a water tank. The dried air passes through a condenser, where it is slightly warmed, and is then reintroduced into the room at a slightly elevated temperature.
The dehumidifiers contain R290 flammable refrigerant gas, which is a refrigerant that complies with relevant European directives. The Global Warming Potential (GWP) for R290 is 3. The minimum room surface area required for storage, installation, and use of the DEUMIDO 10 EVO is 4 m², with a refrigerant charge of 35g. For the DEUMIDO 14 EVO, the minimum room surface area is also 4 m², with a refrigerant charge of 65g. The electrical system to which the product is connected must comply with applicable regulations. For installation, an omnipolar switch with a contact opening distance of 3 mm or higher is required to enable complete disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions. Products equipped with single-phase wiring (M) engines require connection to 220-240V (or only 230V where required) single-phase lines. Any modification to the product is considered tampering and will void the warranty.
The dehumidifier is equipped with castors for enhanced mobility. Before moving the unit, it should be switched off and the water tank emptied. It is recommended to place the unit close to a fixed mains socket, avoiding the use of extension leads. If an extension lead is necessary, ensure the cable wires have a diameter of at least 1 mm². For optimal use, external doors and windows should be closed when the dehumidifier is in operation.
The control panel (Fig. 2) includes:
The unit also features:
When the water tank is full, the compressor stops, and the "Full Water" indicator turns red. To empty the tank, pull it straight out from the unit. After emptying, reposition the tank correctly to ensure the "Full Water" sign goes out and the dehumidifier resumes operation. If the tank is not positioned correctly, the indicator will remain red.
For continuous drainage, especially in high humidity conditions, connect an 11 mm inner diameter water tube (not supplied) to the continuous drainage spout (Fig. 3). Ensure the water drains freely and the tube remains in place. In very cold weather, precautions should be taken to prevent the water tube from freezing.
Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
The unit contains flammable gas R290. Do not pierce the refrigerant circuit or burn any cooling circuit components. Store the device in a room without operating appliances that could cause fires (e.g., open flame equipment, gas-operated appliances, or electric heaters). The storage, installation, and usage room must be constructed to prevent refrigerant gas from stagnating, which could create a fire or explosion risk. The minimum room surface area for these activities is 4 m². R290 refrigerant is odorless, making leaks difficult to detect. Adhere strictly to national regulations for flammable and explosive gases. Keep air vents free from obstruction. Personnel working on the refrigerant circuit must be authorized and qualified to handle refrigerants. Maintenance and repairs requiring external personnel must be supervised by a competent person. Always contact authorized Vortice support centers for assistance. Before disposal, label the unit with the date, signature, and an indication that the refrigerant gas has been emptied. Ensure flammable refrigerant labels are still present. Do not use tools that can generate fires when checking for leaks (e.g., halogen torches or open flame devices). The installation area must be checked with a suitable gas detector before and during work to ensure awareness of potentially toxic or flammable atmospheres. Leak detection equipment must be non-sparking, adequately sealed, or intrinsically safe. If hot work is performed, appropriate fire extinguishing equipment (dry powder or CO2 extinguisher) must be available. The installation area must be adequately ventilated. Capacitors must be discharged safely to prevent sparking. During sealed component repairs, disconnect the unit from the power supply. If power is essential during maintenance, a leak detection device must be placed in the most critical area. Do not apply permanent inductive or capacitive loads exceeding the unit's permissible voltage and current. Replace components only with manufacturer-specified parts. Leak detection fluids are suitable for most refrigerants, but avoid chlorine-containing detergents as chlorine can react with refrigerants and corrode copper piping.
