Function Description:
The primary function of the Steam Straight Brilliance is to straighten hair using a combination of heat and conditioning steam. The device features flexible titanium cushion plates (8) that provide maximum temperature stability for efficient styling. The steam mist, delivered through steam vents (9) on the bottom plate, helps to infuse moisture into the hair, making it softer, more polished, and satiny. Users can choose to style with or without the steam function. The straightener also includes a removable detangling comb (11) to help section and detangle hair, creating more tension for hard-to-style hair types. An automatic shut-off feature enhances safety by turning off the device after 30 minutes of continuous use.

- Temperature Adjustment: A temperature adjustment button (4) allows users to select from 5 heat settings (140°C, 160°C, 180°C, 200°C, 220°C). The default temperature upon turning on is 140°C, and the LED indicator flashes until the selected temperature is reached.
- Water Refill Options:
- Base Station Gravity Refill: The straightener can be placed onto the base station (13) for automatic gravity-fed refilling of its 10ml reservoir from the base station's 100ml reservoir. This process takes 10-15 seconds. It is recommended to ensure the straightener's reservoir is nearly or completely empty before refilling via the base station to prevent overfilling.
- Pipette Refill (without base station): The straightener's 10ml water reservoir can be manually refilled using the provided 3ml pipette (14) by lifting the black rubber plug.
- Recommended Water: Distilled water is recommended for both reservoirs to protect the appliance and prevent clogging.
- Hinge Lock: A hinge lock switch (12) is available, useful when placing the straightener on the base station while it's switched on, to avoid contact with hot surfaces.
- Styling Guidance:
- Straightening: Start with clean, dry, tangle-free hair. Apply heat spray. Divide hair into 4 sections. Take horizontal sections no wider than the plate, clamp, and glide down slowly and evenly. For very straight hair, create thinner sections.
- Volume: Create volume by making a curved movement with the wrist while gliding the straightener down the hair section.
- Heat Protection Glove: A universal heat protection glove (15) is included to protect the hand from temporary heat contact.
- Hair Type & Temperature Guide:
- 140°C: Delicate, fine, bleached hair
- 160°C: Average, colour-treated hair
- 180°C: Wavy, curly hair
- 200°C: Hard to style, thick hair
- 220°C: Coarse, afro-textured, difficult to style hair
- Users are advised to start with the lowest temperature setting when using for the first time.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: The straightener is designed for household use and is virtually maintenance-free. If cleaning is necessary, unplug the straightener and ensure it is cool before wiping with a cloth.
- Steam Vent Cleaning: If steam vents become dirty, wipe them with a wet cotton tip, then with a cloth.
- Water Reservoir Emptying: After each use, all water reservoirs (base station water reservoir, base station bottom tank, and straightener water reservoir) must be emptied to prevent clogging over time. This involves lifting black rubber plugs and pouring out remaining water.
- Storage: Always allow the appliance to cool down before storing. Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance, as this can cause undue strain and damage to the cord.
