USING ALEXA WITH VSSL
1. CONNECT THE ECHO DOT
Via Cable:
If you your Echo Dot can be installed in close proximity to your VSSL then
it is best to connect the Echo Dot to the VSSL via an analog audio cable.
For example: you have an Echo Dot on a counter top and the VSSL stored
in a cubord below.
Youll need to purchase a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Like the one shown below:
You can use Alexa with VSSL, by connecting an Ec h o D o t to an input on the
VSSL. As an input all of the control and volume can be controlled by Alexa. In the
VSSL app, you can select the Echo Dot as a source on any room.
In this guide we will recomend how to connect an Echo Dot and configure your
VSSL to work with it.
BACKGROUND
Connect the 3.5mm end of the cable to the Echo Dot and the RCA end
of the cable to an input on the VSSL:
A.3 Inputs: Bus In, Zone In 1-3
A.6 Inputs: Bus In 1-2, Zone In 1-6
