Overview

The VTech Play & Dream Kicking Piano is a soft musical keyboard designed to stimulate a child's interest in different textures, sounds, and colors, and to support their development from birth through early childhood. This interactive toy features five soft piano keys, five little animal friends, and can be used both in and out of a cot. It aims to help children respond to colors, sounds, and textures, understand cause and effect, and learn to touch, reach, grasp, sit-up, crawl, and toddle. For older children, it offers interactive play to develop imagination and encourage language, helping them get ready for school by learning the alphabet and counting, fostering creativity through drawing and music, and providing challenging activities that adapt to their learning level.

Function Description:

The Play & Dream Kicking Piano allows babies and toddlers to kick or tap the five soft piano keys to learn about animals and instruments, and to hear playful sing-along songs. In music mode, it plays long melodies designed to lull a baby to sleep. The unit features an On/Off/Volume Control Switch to adjust sound levels (Low, High, or Off). It also includes a Light Up Music Note, a Mode Selector, a Roller Ball, a Sliding Owl, a Light-Up Sun, five Soft Piano Buttons, a Rabbit Button, and a Mirror.

In learning mode, pressing the Piano Buttons will introduce animal names, instrument names, instrument sounds, and songs. Sliding the Owl or pressing the Rabbit button will trigger fun sounds and playful phrases. Spinning the Roller Ball in learning mode will produce fun sounds, counting phrases, or a song. The lights on the unit will flash in sync with the sounds.

In music mode, the piano keys play piano notes, short tunes, or animal sounds. Sliding the Owl or pressing the Rabbit button will initiate 15 minutes of continuous music. During these melodies, pressing the piano keys will play fun sounds over the music, and pressing the roller ball will interrupt the melodies. The lights will also flash with the sounds in music mode.

The toy has an automatic shut-off feature to preserve battery life, powering down after approximately 39 seconds of inactivity in learning mode and 32 seconds in music mode. It can be reactivated by pressing any button.
