Connect the charger Line power mode (no AC power)
When there is a power failure, the telephone base uses power from the telephone
line to let you make and answer calls using the corded handset and dialing keys.
To make a call during power failure:
Charge the battery

Lift the corded handset and wait for a dial tone.

Dial a telephone number using the dialing keys.
Wait to hear each key tone upon inputting a digit
before pressing the next dialing key.
Lift the corded handset.
