Overview

This document is a comprehensive manual for the Vuly Flare™ trampoline, providing essential information on its function, usage, and maintenance. It emphasizes safety, proper installation, and care to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the product.

The Vuly Flare™ trampoline is designed for domestic and outdoor recreational use, suitable for ages 6 and over, with a maximum user weight of 100 kg (M), 120 kg (L/XL). It is a single-user trampoline, highlighting the collision hazard associated with multiple users. The manual strongly advises against somersaults due to the risk of serious injury, paralysis, or death from head or neck landings. Users are instructed to always jump in the middle of the Jump Mat and to focus their eyes on the edge of the trampoline to control their bounce. Basic trampolining instructions include flexing knees to stop a bounce and staying low until control is achieved. The trampoline should not be used as a springboard to other objects or when wet, as the Jump Mat becomes slippery.

Usage Features:

The Vuly Flare™ trampoline is designed for safe and enjoyable bouncing. Key usage instructions include ensuring the trampoline is assembled by an adult according to the manual and checked before first use. It should not be used in strong wind or inclement weather and must be kept secure. Active and competent adult supervision is required at all times, especially when children are using the trampoline, as children may not identify hazards or assess risk properly. Users should avoid eating or drinking while bouncing and empty pockets and hands. Comfortable clothing that allows full and free movement should be worn, and jewelry, drawstrings, cords, loops, buckles, or anything that could entangle in trampoline components or cause strangulation should be avoided. Shoes must be removed to prevent damage to the bed and reduce injury risk. Users should climb on and off the trampoline, never jumping or bouncing off, and refrain from using the springs as hand grips. The area around, underneath, and above the trampoline must be kept clear of children, pets, toys, or other play equipment. Users are encouraged to learn fundamental bounces and body positions before attempting advanced maneuvers, and adults should demonstrate safe use for children. For advanced skills, contacting a suitable gymnastics or trampoline club is recommended.

Maintenance Features:

Proper care and maintenance are crucial for the Vuly Flare™ trampoline's lifespan. The manual outlines several key areas for attention:

  • General Care: Users must retain the manual and inspect the trampoline before and after each use, immediately replacing any worn, defective, or missing parts only through Vuly. The Safety Net and Safety Padding (if applicable) must always be correctly attached and in good condition, with the Safety Net replaced every year. Objects that could damage textile components should be kept away, and moving steel components should remain well lubricated. Only Vuly-made and recommended accessories and parts should be used.
  • Rust and Corrosion: Specific areas prone to rusting, such as places where water is trapped, hollow steel sections, and steel connection areas, require attention. The inside of all Frame Poles and Net Poles should be inspected every 6 months and after rain, with any water removed. Rust on Frame Pole and Net Pole connection areas should be checked, and general-purpose grease applied to steel connection areas. Excessive cleaning of steel components should be avoided as it may reduce the effectiveness of protective coatings.
  • Textile Deterioration: The Jump Mat should be cleaned with a soft sponge only to prevent premature wear, and powerful soaps or detergents should be avoided as they can damage textiles. Any water remaining after rain, cleaning, or use of the Vuly Mister accessory should be wiped dry to prevent discolouration or spots if left to dry in the sun. The inside of the Safety Padding (if applicable) should be regularly inspected, and water removed through drainage holes. Textile parts should be removed and stored in their original packaging in a cool, dry, and dark place if the trampoline will be unused for over a month, as prolonged UV exposure can shorten the Safety Net's lifespan.
  • Weather Care: Components are susceptible to deterioration from sunlight, rain, salt, and heat. For extended periods of disuse, the trampoline should be disassembled, returned to its original packaging, and stored in a dry place. After rain, fallen debris should be removed, and residual water wiped off to prevent corrosion and textile weakening. In windy conditions, the Safety Net should be disconnected from the Net Poles and covered along with the Jump Mat with a storm cover. In cold weather, the trampoline should be disassembled, and the Jump Mat and Safety Net stored indoors. Snow should be removed, and the mat, padding, and enclosure checked for defects. To minimize UV damage from heat, the trampoline should be moved to a shaded area during the brightest times of the day and covered when not in use.
  • Relocation: Moving the trampoline requires a minimum of 4 adults to comply with heavy lifting regulations. It should not be dragged, as parts may bend or warp. Tilting or resting it on its side should be avoided to prevent frame bending. For long-distance transport, the trampoline should be disassembled and returned to its original packaging.
  • Inspection Checklist: A checklist is provided for pre-use inspections, covering the frame (bends, cracks, twists, breaks, rust spots, sharp protrusions), Safety Padding (missing, improperly positioned, insecurely attached, punctures, frays, tears, holes, deterioration of stitching or fabric), springs (missing, broken, damaged), Jump Mat (punctures, frays, tears, holes, deterioration of stitching or fabric, sagging fabric, sharp protrusions in suspension system, rusting, damaged or bent mat connector steel, broken mat connector plastics), Safety Net (missing, improperly positioned, insecurely attached, punctures, frays, tears, holes, deterioration of stitching or fabric of enclosure barrier or connectors, sagging fabric, broken or damaged entry system), and Net Poles (missing, improperly positioned, insecurely attached supports or U-shackles, bends, cracks, twists, breaks, rust spots, sharp protrusions). Any safety issues found require immediate contact with Vuly for part replacement.

The manual also details a "Half-Price Parts for Life" program, allowing customers to purchase replacement parts at half price for the lifetime of their trampoline, provided the product is registered. This program covers core components such as springs, safety padding, jump mat, safety net, net poles, frame poles, and T-joiners, but excludes accessories and shade cover/tent components.
